FC Barcelona head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius:
"Congratulations to our players and fans. Thank you, Palau, for the good atmosphere. The game is one of those that is exactly what you expect. I was hoping that our team would come out very serious and play very serious basketball and I thought we did. I thought we were physical, just like Bayern, and I thought our point guard play was excellent in the first two quarters. And unfortunately, we lost our focus in the third quarter and started to play a little bit slower. This is exactly when Bayern took advantage of it, just like Bayern is doing all the time in the last year and a half. It was a classic game of Bayern and as soon as you give them a chance, they show their character and come back into the game immediately. It was good that we gathered ourselves and found some solutions. I thought a lot of our players really contributed today - compared to the last 10 days, it was a step forward. The most important thing is that with every game, with every new situation, you have to improve your game, so going into Game 2, we have to improve or it is going to be very difficult."
FC Bayern Munich head coach Andrea Trinchieri:
"Congrats to Barca. I believe that, at the end of the day, they deserved the win. We fought - we had a very good first quarter, then the two middle quarters, so-so. We made some mistakes that, at this level, are not possible because if you make those mistakes, you don't survive. But to tell you the truth, I am very proud of my team. We came back and fought. We had a very bad injury, Hilliard, very severe, and this says how physical was the game. I believe what cost us the game was our not good efficiency on offense and there is also a lot of good work from Barca's defense, and turnovers. We are a team that doesn't make a lot of turnovers, and we paid a huge price for our turnovers tonight. Game 1 - we entered the series, they moved the tower, like in chess. They are a big team and now; we have to find new solutions for Game 2."
