Bahcesehir lands center Balsa Koprivica

Bahcesehir College Istanbul added size and experience to its roster by inking center Balsa Koprivica, the club announced Friday.
Koprivica (2.16 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, where he averaged 3.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 16 EuroLeague games last season. He saw extended playing time in the Adriatic League, where he averaged 7.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 29 games to help Partizan win the trophy. In his four seasons with Partizan, Koprivica won two Adriatic League and one Serbian League championships.
Born in Belgrade, Serbia, Koprivica moved to the United States at age 12. After two years with Florida State University, he started his professional career with Partizan, taking part in the 2021-22 EuroCup. He averaged 6.4 points and 5.5 rebounds in 17 games, while ranking second in blocks (1.2 bpg.). Koprivica has also been a member of the Serbian national team and helped its U18 squad win a gold medal at the 2017 U18 European Championships.
