Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana fortified its frontcourt by inking center Thomas Kennedy to a one year deal, the club announced Friday.
Kennedy (2.06 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Telekom Baskets Bonn, where he averaged 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds in 32 German League games last season. He had almost identical numbers in the Basketball Champions League, where he posted 10.6 points and 7.4 rebounds in 10 games.
Born in Canada, Kennedy finished his college career with the University of Windsor, where he averaged 21.8 points and 13.5 rebounds in 22 U Sports games in the 2022-23 season. He joined Bonn right after that. Kennedy has also been a member of the Canadian national team. He is set to make his EuroCup debut with Cedevita next season.
