"This is a great victory for us. Before the game, I had already said that Hapoel is a difficult team to play against. With the addition of Eugene Jeter, who is a smart player, they have acquired another weapon on their attack. We controlled the game and in the second period we managed to score some easy baskets, run the fast break, control the rebounds and make the right choices in the attack. In the second half, though, Hapoel’s match-up zone caused us trouble and we didn’t have speed in attack any more. I insisted on telling to my players to pass the ball to Betts, in the paint, but this didn’t happen as much as I would like. Betts could have scored even 20 or 25 points, since Hapoel practically played without a center. In the end, the game was decided by our good defense in the last minutes and by Dixon’s winning shot. That’s what we expect from him, that’s why we brought him here. Of course he still needs more time to adapt himself to the European mentality, after seven years in the NBA, but tonight he was really focused and he scored the shots that we needed him to do. That’s how we would like to perform in every game."
