Jaleen Smith moves from Bahcesehir to Turk Telekom

One of the top performers of the previous season has switched sides with the news that Turk Telekom Ankara signed Jaleen Smith for 2025-26.
Smith (1.90 meters, 30 years old) comes off an outstanding first season in the BKT EuroCup with Bahcesehir College Istanbul. He helped the club reach the semifinals by averaging 12.4 points, 5.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He was fourth in the competition in assists and named to the All-EuroCup First Team.
He has spent the three previous seasons in the EuroLeague. Smith debuted in the EuroLeague with ALBA Berlin in 2021 and spent two seasons with the club. He helped the team to win the German League and Cup double in 2022. Smith then split the 2023-24 season between Virtus Bologna and Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade.
After playing college basketball at the University of New Hampshire, Smith started his professional career with USC Heidelberg and also played for Riesen Ludwigsburg in Germany before joining ALBA. He was chosen as the 2020-21 German League MVP with Ludwigsburg. Smith has also been a member of the Croatian national team.
