The Serbian forward returns from NCAA stint to begin pro career in Belgrade
Crvena Zvezda signs forward Filip Skobalj

Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade has signed Serbian forward Filip Skobalj, the son of former Zvezda coach Milan Skobalj, the club announced on Thursday. The player penned a deal on his first professional contract after playing college basketball in the United States.
Skobalj (2.02 meters, 23 years old) returns to Serbia after four years at the University of Illinois - Chicago, where he served as team captain and earned academic honors. Last season he averaged 8.5 points on 40.5% three-point shooting, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game over 31 appearances. He shot 39.1% from deep in four years with the Flames and finished eighth in school history with 227 triples.
A former Serbian national youth team player, Skobalj now begins his professional journey with Zvezda.
