The star forward is the top scorer for the EuroLeague debutants
Dubai’s Dwayne Bacon sidelined with thumb fracture

Dubai Basketball forward Dwayne Bacon has been diagnosed with a fracture in his right thumb, the club confirmed on Thursday. His return to the court will depend on his recovery progress and ongoing medical evaluations.
The timing of the injury could not be worse, as Bacon has been one of Dubai's key contributors in the team’s inaugural EuroLeague season. Through 11 games, he’s averaging 15.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per outing, playing nearly 30 minutes per game. What’s more, he is one of only four Dubai players to appear in all 11 EuroLeague games thus far, with key contributors like Dzanan Musa, Nate Mason and Aleksa Avramovic having all missed significant time.
This season is Bacon's third in the EuroLeague after debuting with AS Monaco during the 2021-22 campaign and playing for Panathinaikos Athens the next year. He played in China, Puerto Rico and Russia before joining Dubai over the summer.
