Efes seals move for EuroLeague Best Defender Nick Weiler-Babb

Anadolu Efes Istanbul has responded to the exits of Elijah Bryant and Darius Thompson by signing Nick Weiler-Babb, the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Best Defender. It is a two-year deal with an option for another season, the club announced Monday.
Weiler-Babb (1.96 meters, 29 years old) had spent his entire EuroLeague career to date with FC Bayern Munich, having spent the last five campaigns with the German side. This season, he averaged 8.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.5 steals in 34 EuroLeague games.
After his five seasons with Bayern, Weiler-Babb is near the top of the club's all-time rankings in several categories. He is second all-time in appearances (161), points (1,118) and rebounds (584), while he is first overall in assists (459) and steals (170).
In fact, next season will be Weiler-Babb's first as a professional outside of Germany, having played for Riesen Ludwigsburg in the 2019-20 campaign prior to joining Bayern.
