Big Brit Deane Williams to strengthen London frontline

The London Lions signed veteran British forward Deane Williams for the 2025-26 season, the club announced on Wednesday.
Williams (2.03 meters, 28 years old) brings size, experience, and grit to the Lions' roster. Over the last three seasons, Williams has competed in some of the top European leagues. He split time last season between GeVi Napoli in Italy, Ludwigsburg in Germany and Anwil Wloclawek in Poland. He averaged 6.3 points and 4.2 boards over 6 games in the Italian League, 8.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 10 games in the German League and 8.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in 9 games in Poland.
After starting his career with the Bristol Flyers in his native England, Williams decided to play college basketball at Augusta University, where he finished as the program’s 11th all-time scorer and ranked top five in both rebounds and blocks. His professional journey began in Iceland with Keflavík, where he was named the league's Foreign Player of the Year in 2021. The came a year in the French second division with Saint Quentin and a season each in Germany with Telekom Bonn and Oldenberg. He was a member of Bonn's BCL-winning squad in 2023.
