We are at the end of the final break of the 7DAYS EuroCup season, so the good times begin now. We worked hard since the start of the season to reach this moment and start fighting for titles, to play important games. It is time to see what teams are made of! We have an experienced team and that is always a plus in games like this. We had an up-and-down season but everyone is aware of the talent and experience we have. We switched coaches before the break, and the new coach, Neven Spahija, came with some fresh ideas. We have to close the season in the best way possible, in the way we all want.
Our previous coach, Walter De Raffaele, is a Reyer legend who took the club to a new golden era. This is a business and it goes like this sometimes, but it is undeniable that Coach De Raffaele brought a winning mentality to this club. He took Reyer all the way to top, winning several titles. In the end, cycles come to an end and it is what it is. Neven came in with a different mentality and a different philosophy. I know him well because I worked for him in Baskonia last season. He knows what it takes to win the EuroCup, and has also coached in the EuroLeague and as an assistant coach in the NBA. He has a lot of experience and I am sure he will bring a good mentality to the club.
