Ovie Soko re-ups with London Lions for another season

The London Lions have confirmed that Ovie Soko will remain with the team for the 2025-26 season.
Soko (2.01 meters, 34 years old) averaged 9.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.4 steals in 19 British League games for the Lions last season.
The forward returned to the Lions ahead of the 2022-23 season for the club's inaugural season in the BKT EuroCup, a campaign in which he averaged 11.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.9 steals in eight games. He did not play in 2023-24 but re-signed for London ahead of 2024-25. He will continue to lead the Lions as they mark their return to the EuroCup this coming season.
Since turning professional in 2014, Soko has played for Boulazac Dordogne in France (2014-15), Trikala Aries in Greece (2015-16), Enel Brindisi in Italy (2015-16), Murcia in Spain (2016-19), the Lions (2019-20; 2022-23; 2024-present), Le Mans Sarthe in Greece (2020-21), and the Shiga Lakestars in Japan (2021-22). During the 2016-17 season with Murcia, Soko made his EuroCup debut, appearing in five games and averaging 5.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 assist.
