Barça's Nico Laprovittola out 4 weeks with adductor injury

FC Barcelona will be without one of its key backcourt leaders for the next month after guard Nico Laprovittola suffered an injury to the adductor muscle in his right thigh. The club confirmed the diagnosis earlier Wednesday, stating that the expected recovery time is approximately four weeks.
Laprovittola, 35, previously missed six games this season with a thigh injury. Since his return, Laprovittola has played a key role for the club. He played a season-high 27 minutes in last week's loss in Istanbul, which was also the first game for the team under new head coach Xavi Pascual.
For the season, Laprovittola has averaged 9.8 points, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game. This is his eighth season in Europe's premier competition and his fifth with Barcelona.
