The Australian star adds firepower to the Romanian champs’ backcourt
Cluj makes a splash by signing Mitch Creek

U-BT Cluj-Napoca has strengthened its squad for the 2025–26 BKT EuroCup campaign with the signing of swingman Mitchell Creek, the club announced Sunday.
Creek (1.98 meters, 33 years old) is a top-tier scorer who has filled baskets at every stop on his career, most recently in Canada and Turkiye. He ranked fourth in the Turkish second division in PIR last season with 23.7 while pouring in 21.5 points per game on 45.1% three-point shooting for Trabzonspor as he led the club to the league championship. He is currently playing in Canada for the Vancouver , where he ranks among the league leaders with 22.9 points per game on 42.9% three-point shooting.
Creek spent most of his career with the Adelaide 36ers and the South East Melbourne Phoenix of the Australian NBL. Creek was named to the All-NBL First Team in 2023 after helping guide the Phoenix to the Play-In Tournament. He has also had stints in the NBA with the Brooklyn Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves, in China with Xinjiang Flying Tigers.
He brings experience at the highest levels, having played for the Australian national team at the 2019 Basketball World Cup. Creek is expected to provide leadership, scoring punch and toughness as the Romanian champs aim to make a deep run in BKT EuroCup.
