Hapoel Sholomo Tel Aviv bolstered its frontcourt by inking center [Jeff Withey](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/jeff-withey/008906/) to a one-year deal, the club announced Tuesday. Withey (2.13 meters, 33 years old) arrives from Surne Bilbao Basket, where he averaged 9.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 24 Spanish League games last season.

Withey started his professional basketball career with New Orleans of the NBA, and also played for Utah and Dallas joining joining Tofas Bursa of Turkiye in the 2018-19 season. He made his BKT EuroCup debut that season, averaging 7.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. Withey has also played for Ironi Hai Motors Nes-Ziona of Israel and Goyang Orions of South Korea before joining Bilbao in 2021. He has also been a member of the USA U18 national team and helped the University of Kansas reach the NCAA Tournament final in 2012.
