Panionios nabs swingman Matt Lewis

Panionios Athens has signed swingman Matt Lewis for the coming season, the club announced on Monday.

Lewis (1.96 meters, 26 years old) will remain in Greece after impressing with Karditsa last season. He averaged 11.7 points on 37.7% three-point shooting, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists over 25 games in the Greek League.

After earning the 2021 Coastal Atheltic Association Player of the Year honor following his senior season at James Madison University, Lewis began his professional career in the G League with the Iowa Wolves. He first came to Europe in 2023 when he signed with Le Mans in France. Lewis will now get his first taste of the BKT EuroCup with Panionios.
