AS Monaco 97-80 FC Barcelona
Monaco struck first in its best-of-five series with Barcelona by grabbing a 97-80 victory in Game 1 of the 2025 EuroLeague Playoffs at Salle Gaston Medecin on Tuesday night. Monaco has a 1-0 lead in the series and hosts Game 2 on Thursday. Mike James and Daniel Theis led the winners with 22 points apiece. Elie Okobo added 19, Matthew Strazel had 13 while Mam Jaiteh got 10 for Monaco. Kevin Punter led Barca with 16 points. Dario Brizuela and Youssoupha Fall each added 13 for the guests. Fall also grabbed 14 rebounds for a double-double.
Olympiacos Piraeus 84-72 Real Madrid
Olympiacos made the most of a bouncing Peace and Friendship Stadium and opened its playoff series against Real Madrid with an 84-72 victory on Wednesday night. The Reds led from start to finish, with their defense strangling Los Blancos, which scored just 29 points in the first half. Real Madrid fought back and won the last two quarters, but the hosts maintained a double-digit lead throughout the second half. Sasha Vezenkov combined his game-high 23 points with 7 rebounds for a PIR of 31. Evan Fournier netted 13 points, Nikola Milutinov scored 11 and Alec Peters added 10. Sergio Llull paced Real Madrid with 16 points, Mario Hezonja recorded 13 and Dzanan Musa bagged 11.

Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul 83-78 Paris Basketball
Fenerbahce edged out Paris, 83-78, in a very closely contested encounter featuring 15 lead changes to start the playoff series with home-court advantage intact. Paris made a fast start, but Fenerbahce soon responded to take a 49-42 halftime advantage. The second half was back and forth until the final possessions, which Fenerbahce controlled to grab the win.
Wade Baldwin led six Fenerbahce players in double digits with 15 points, followed by Nigel Hayes-Davis (14), Devon Hall (13), Tarik Biberovic (11) Errick McCollum (11) and Bonzie Colson (10). Nadir Hifi paced Paris with 21 points including 5 triples, with Tyson Ward netting 19 and TJ Shorts pairing 17 points with 7 assists
Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens 87-83 Anadolu Efes Istanbul
Panathinaikos took the lead in its playoff series against Efes with an 87-83 home win in Game 1 on the back of an impressive fightback in the last 10 minutes of an absorbing contest. Juancho Hernangomez paced defending champs Panathinaikos with career-highs of 20 points and 16 boards in an epic battle against Efes big man Vincent Poirier. Kendrick Nunn, who was awarded his EuroLeague MVP Trophy by EuroLeague president Dejan Bodiroga prior to the game, struggled from the floor all night but still netted 15 points on 4-of-15 shooting while Omer Yurtseven racked up 14 points and 7 boards. Kostas Sloukas scored 13 points for the Greens and Cedi Osman chipped in with 11 against his boyhood club. At the other end, Shane Larkin and Poirier poured in 17 points apiece for Efes.
