In another meeting of direct rivals, hot and cold Maccabi (12-10) will look to cut the distance on visiting Panathinaikos (14-8).
Roman Sorkin, Maccabi: 'Panathinaikos are coming in hot'

The Greens are on a great run of form with eight wins out of the last nine, but Maccabi enjoyed an 81-86 triumph in Round 4 in Athens thanks to 21 points from Bonzie Colson and 12 assists from Lorenzo Brown, who was absent from last week’s heavy defeat at Olympiacos. That was a third loss in four games for Maccabi, allowing at least 88 points in each of those defeats. Panathinaikos will hope that Kendrick Nunn continues his hot streak after scoring 21 points in both of his last two games.
Oded Kattash, Maccabi head coach
"We are facing a team who are maybe in the best shape in the EuroLeague, but we are focusing on ourselves. This is a key game for us. We need a good game to get back to doing the things we know to do."
Roman Sorkin, Maccabi player
"Panathinaikos are coming in hot; we are going to have hard time against them. We will come prepared. What happened is in the past; we will try to go forward and recharge our energies. Our goal is to get back to what brought us here."
Ergin Ataman, Panathinaikos head coach
"The last game that we won [in the Greek League against Olympiacos] for sure gave the team a winning character. It is very important because you cannot play every game very well. Sometimes you have a problem and finally, we found the way to win game and that will give us confidence but of course, we will play one more great game against Maccabi. We lost against Maccabi in OAKA in overtime. It will be a very tough game. I think Kostas Sloukas will be ready for the [Round 24] game against Milan because it will be 10 days since Monday, the Milan game is in 10 days. I think our doctors and our medical staff, and with Sloukas's effort, I think he will be ready in one week and in the beginning of next week, he can practice with the team and play in the double week because we need him. Vildoza is also injured, he had a meniscus operation, so it is a big problem to play only with onle one point guard right now. I am sure he will come back and in this game, we will try to find the way to manage this situation against Maccabi."
Panagiotis Kalaitzakis, Panathinaikos player
"In the last one or two months, we have been playing good basketball, and we are starting to show what we can do as a team. We have some injury problems; I don't think we've played since the start of the season with a full roster. Everybody knows the importance of the [domestic] game against Olympiacos. I think that this victory will give us a boost for the future. Maccabi is a very good team. We have to play very well to win this game."
