Bayern has won two of the last three to rekindle playoff hopes, most recently grabbing a thrilling road triumph at Partizan behind 20 points from Sylvain Francisco, who presents a big threat to Zvezda after reaching double digits in seven straight games. The Serbian team has lost four of its last five games but did overcome Bayern at home in Round 6, when 16 points and 11 assists from ageless backcourt leader Milos Teodosic proved pivotal in a 64-68 victory.
- Bayern's lone road win over Zvezda in Belgrade was a 76-78 decision in March 2021. Nick Weiler-Babb and Vladimir Lucic are the only remaining Bayern players from that game on the team's roster.
- During the 2015-16 season Zvezda and Bayern played each other in the EuroLeague for the first time, and in their very first EuroLeague clash Zvezda got its lone road victory over Bayern, a 79-90 win as Stefan Jovic dished 19 assists.
- Crvena Zvezda tied a club record in EuroLeague play this century with 6 blocks against Bayern in January 2020.
- Zvezda guard Branko Lazic played together with Bayern forward Vladimir Lucic on the Serbian national team that won the silver medal at EuroBasket 2017.
- Zvezda's Nemanja Nedovic and Bayern's Vladimir Lucic were teammates at Valencia Basket during the 2014-15 season. They have also been teammates on the Serbian national team.
- Lucic has also been a teammate of Zvezda's Luka Mitrovic and Nedovic on the Serbian national team.
- Zvezda center Freddie Gillespie played last season and the first part of this season with Bayern.
- Adam Hanga played under current Bayern head coach Pablo Laso at Real Madrid during the 2021-22 season.
- Hanga's first career double-double in points (10) and assists (10) came in December 2019 in Munich when he was playing for FC Barcelona. Those 10 assists are his career-high.
- Zvezda's Rokas Giedraitis collected a career-high 4 steals for ALBA Berlin against FC Bayern Munich on December 18, 2019.
- Zvezda center Mike Tobey set his career-high with 3 steals playing for Valencia Basket against Bayern in November 2019.
- Zvezda big man Luka Mitrovic grabbed a career-high 3 steals against Bayern in December 2021.
- Zvezda forward Stefan Lazarevic grabbed a career-high 7 rebounds against Bayern in March of last season.
- Bayern sharpshooter Andreas Obst grabbed a career-high 8 rebounds against Crvena Zvezda in March of last season.
