Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana is the basketball champion of Slovenia for the third year in a row after defeating the Helios Suns 99-71 on Saturday to win their best-of-five finals series in four games. The hosts led 51-40 at halftime and pulled away for good with a 27-10 third quarter to wrap up the season in which they also won the Slovenian Cup. Zoran Dragic led five Cedevita scorers in double figures in Game 4 with 21 points, Alen Omic posted 16 points and 10 rebounds and Karlo Matkovic had 16 and 7. Yogi Ferrell, who tallied 13 points and 5 assists in Game 4 and averaged 18.3 points and 4.8 assists per game in the series, was named MVP of the finals. This marks the 20th time the club from the Slovenian capital captured the national championship and the third since the merger of Cedevita Zagreb and Olimpija Ljubljana in 2019.
