Prometey Slobozhanske remained undefeated at home in Group A by downing Frutti Extra Bursaspor 90-84 at Arena Riga in the Latvian capital on Wednesday. In doing so, Prometey handed head coach Dusan Alimpijevic's team its first loss in the 7DAYS EuroCup since last season's championship game against Virtus Segafredo Bologna. Both teams now have 2-1 records in Group A.

Gian Clavell led the winners with 26 points. Issuf Sanon added 17, DJ Kennedy had 15 and Caleb Agada 10 for Prometey. Derek Needham paced Bursaspor with 16 points, Anthony Clemmons and Onuralp Bitim each added 14, Ahmet Duverioglu had 13 while David Dudzinski and Yigitcan Saybir scored 12 apiece for the guests.

Duverioglu had 5 quick points and got help from Needham and Clemmons to give Bursaspor an early 5-13 lead. Clavell struck three times from downtown, which prompted the visitors to call timeout at 17-17. Then Agada put Prometey in charge, 23-21, after 10 minutes. Sanon stepped up for the hosts, Stephens shocked the crowd with a wild alley-oop slam and DJ Kennedy boosted Prometey's lead to 37-33. Needham and Saybir got Bursaspor within 42-39 at halftime. Sanon kept pushing Prometey and Dustin Hogue's put-back layup made it a double-digit game, 54-43. Bitim and Dudzinski gave Bursaspor hope at 68-62 after 30 minutes. Prometey found a go-to guy in Clavell to restore a 77-68 margin with 6 minutes left. The hosts kept powering the offensive glass and Clavell sealed the outcome, 85-71, in the next-to-last minute.
