Guy sets Joventut season scoring mark

Kyle Guy had the best scoring performance of any Joventut Badalona player this season in an 83-82 home win over Frutti Extra Bursaspor. Guy netted a club season-high 25 points. His 5 three-pointers made, on 9 attempts, were also a season-best for any Joventut player. Guy entered the fourth quarter with 11 points and then downed 14 more in the final 10 minutes, including making 4 of 5 three-point shots in the fourth quarter. He also had 4 assists and 2 steals.

Floyd shines for Bourg again

Another player who set a new club season high is Jordan Floyd of Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse, who scored 24 points in his team’s 86-79 home win over Umana Reyer Venice. Floyd may have misfired on all 3 of his three-point attempts, but he was 8-for-9 from two-point range, and perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line. Floyd also shined when it mattered most in a tight game, scoring 14 fourth-quarter points. He was perfect from two-point range until the final minute of the contest.

Popovic was everywhere for Buducnost

Buducnost VOLI Podgorica pulled away from the visiting Slask Wroclaw in the second half an 82-71 victory in which veteran home-grown shooting guard Petar Popovic had one of his best all-round performances. The 26-year old, playing in his 71st career 7DAYS EuroCup game, set new personal bests with 6 assists and 4 steals, which also was tied for the most in Round 11. Popovic also scored 12 points, including a triple to spark a game-sealing 12-2 fourth-quarter run.

Teenager helped Ulm to key win

Thanks in part to an unexpected contribution from a 19-year old big man David Fuchs, ratiopharm Ulm picked up an important 78-69 home win over 7Bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys to improve to 6-5 record in Group A. The teenager, who had scored just 11 points in his first six appearances this season, finished this game with 10, making all 4 of his two-point shots, and also pulled down 5 rebounds, including a pair on the offensive glass. Fuchs had a PIR of 15 in as many minutes on the floor.
