He penned a multi-year deal with his new team
Reyer signs points guard Leonardo Candi

Umana Reyer Venice strengthened its backcourt by inking point guard Leonardo Candi to a multi-year deal on Friday.
Candi (1.90 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Bertham Yachts Derthona Tortona, where he played in the last three seasons. He averaged 4.2 points and 1.9 assists in 25 Italian League games last season. He started his professional career with Eternedile Bologna and has also played for Fortituto Kontatto Bologna and Unahotels Reggio Emilia before joining Tortona in 2022. Candi has also been a member of the Italian national team. He took part in the 2017-18 BKT EuroCup with Reggio Emilia, averaging 3.0 points in 21 games and reaching the semifinals. "I am really excited to start this new adventure with Reyer, who I thank for having strongly wanted me. I arrive in Venice with great energy and happiness, and I can't wait to meet my new teammates," Candi said. "As an opponent, I have always seen Reyer as a solid, high-level team, against which it was never easy to play. Now that I am part of it, I am proud and at the same time aware of the responsibility: I will give everything, with commitment and dedication, to prepare myself as best as possible."
