"I don't have the strength to say anything right now. I'm happy for the team – great players make great coaches. Hopefully this night will stay forever in our hearts. We grow up thanks to this, we get better players and a better coach in the end. I'm happy for all of this program, happy from the beginning what we went through and definitely we deserved to be in the top four teams. From the beginning, we believed in this.
(His team showing character): "I don't care, let me enjoy myself now!
"I cannot describe to you how happy I am today. I'm really tired, I was really demanding – emotionally demanding. Okay, this is a historic night for me, a historic night for Monaco, a historic night for most of the guys. Doing an amazing job, like last year, by reaching the top eight, now we upgraded on that in just two years. Teams like Maccabi, like Olympiacos wait for this for a long time. French basketball, too, to be honest. Somehow, we deserve this kind of appreciation, this kind of reward. We played throughout the whole year with ups and downs. Everyone had a great level of basketball, I think people here enjoyed themselves and even tonight was a special night with all of these fans being close to us – you could feel it! Somehow, the atmosphere was leading us to such a great success. What can I say? Two more games to play. Let's still keep dreaming.

(What he said to the players afterward): "I said, 'Okay, I've been waiting for this for 18 years.' So, each day I mentioned this. Each day was hard dedication, big discipline to get a piece of luck. To be in a situation to make such a success. Of course, so many things have to come together. I had a great team, I had great management, I had a great president who put me in a situation to do something with my life. Okay, I used it, together with the guys, who were amazing. Great characters, great people. I know what I went through each day all these two years. Each day, there are some problems. You have great potential guys, but also such big egos. To satisfy everyone is not easy, but even with that part, you found a way to make them work together. So, I'm happy for all these people: the doctors, the physiotherapists, the guys who are helping with recruitment. In the beginning, you build up something for years to get a well-established team, so I think we started pretty good."
"We were there, we fought hard. We played well. For both teams, in the first half it was a really high tempo game. In the second half, it was more physical. At the end of the day, some experience, some [things] – I think 8, 10 straight free throws, they got the calls. Congrats, Monaco. I wish them good luck.
(Feeling on the season overall): "In the back of my mind, I really know that I'm proud of the players, but I'm disappointed right now. I can't feel anything else.
"First of all, I want to congratulate Monaco for qualifying to the Final Four. It wasn't easy for us, I'm sure it wasn’t easy for them, so all the respect to them. We were there, we there. From Game 1 – I think we missed a big opportunity in Game 3 – but coming into today, we knew it was going to be a different game. Monaco came out really aggressive, both sides wanted to push the ball. It was a high-tempo game, a really high-tempo game. In the second half, we adapted a little bit. I think we had a big chance [to advance]. We [came up short on] three or four possessions, I believe, defensive possessions – [showing more] control with a little bit more experience, to use our fouls smartly – but I believe those mistakes came from our players being overmotivated. We've got to learn from that, even though it's tough, and come back next season even better.
"I'm speechless right now, man. Nobody had this team in the Final Four at the start of the season, nobody had this team winning this series and I'm just happy that this club can get some respect, some much well-deserved respect. Man, I'm emotional. This is unbelievable, so yeah, I'm excited, happy.
(Playing in front of home fans in Game 5): "That's what the fans deserved. They came out and showed love for us all year – this is what they deserved. We rose to the occasion, we stepped up and we were confident in ourselves, and they gave us a big boost tonight. I'm excited. I don't even know what to say, honestly. This is crazy."
"This is definitely one of the happiest moments of my basketball career, for sure, because of how my season has gone, being injured for a month and then coming back and not playing, and not playing as much as I thought and deserved. Yeah, I couldn’t be happier right now.
(Mike James's great first half and quiet second half): "No, we won the game with him on the court and with him on the bench. He had 21 in the first half and we needed all of it, so there's no such thing as winning without someone. He did what he was supposed to do and we did what we were supposed to do. It feels so good.
(Influence of the fans): "I'm the type of player that likes to encourage the crowd and have things like that, so it feels really good. You know, home-court advantage meant a lot and to win in front of these guys and go to the Final Four, it's incredible. A lot of people picked us to lose and we saw it. A lot of people picked us to lose in three or four games, and we saw and read all of that, so it feels good to shut a lot of people up."
