Olympiacos signs versatile forward Tyson Ward

Olympiacos Piraeus has confirmed its first signing of the summer by inking swingman Tyson Ward to a two-year deal, the club announced on Wednesday.
Ward (1.98 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Paris Basketball, where he averaged 11.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and a PIR of 11.3 in 38 EuroLeague games – his first season in the league. He played an important role in helping his team reach the EuroLeague Playoffs and win the French League and French Cup double.
He started his professional career with s.Oliver Würzburg and moved on to another German team, Telekom Baskets Bonn, which he helped win the Basketball Champions League title in 2023.
Ward moved to Paris along with head coach Tuomas Iisalo and five of his Bonn teammates, and they continued on their successful path, winning the French Leaders Cup and the BKT EuroCup titles in 2023-24. Ward averaged 11.0 points on 86.8% free throws in 23 EuroCup games, helping Paris win 22 of those.
