Two-time Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion Rudy Fernandez and Real Madrid will stay together for another season, extending contract until the end of 2022-23 campaign, the club announced Tuesday. Fernandez (1.96 meters, 37 years old) has played 11 EuroLeague seasons with Real, and has helped the team win titles in 2015 and 2018, and reach EuroLeague championship games three other times, in 2013, 2014 and also this past season when he averaged 6.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists off the bench.
Fernandez, who started his professional career with Joventut Badalona and made his competition debut with that club in 2006, is one of 11 players all-time with more than 300 EuroLeague appearances (305). He ranks second all-time in the EuroLeague with 548 three-pointers made, fourth with 330 steals and 13th in scoring with 2,872 career points.
