Houindo collected 24 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks and 6 fouls drawn for an index rating of 36 in [Cedvita’s 82-73 victory](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/nge/news/u18-cedevita-olimpija-overpowers-u18-mega-to-win-adidas-nextgen-ulm/) over U18 Mega Super Belgrade in the first-place game. The French center averaged 22.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.5 blocks for an average PIR of 26.5 in the tournament. Houindo led the tournament in scoring and PIR, ranked third in blocks and seventh in rebounds.

Ciperle also had a great first-place game with 29 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 4 blocks for a PIR of 36. The forward tallied 20.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.8 blocks to average a 26.0 PIR. He finished second in scoring, rebounds, blocks and PIR and seventh in assists.

Danilovic poured in 21 points with 6 rebounds and 1 assist for a PIR of 12 in the first-place game loss to Cedevita. For the tournament, the guard collected 16.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.0 steals for a PIR of 11.0. The Mega guard ranked fifth in scoring.

Milicic had a strong all-around tournament for the home side with 20.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2.8 steals and 22.5 PIR. The guard ranked third in scoring, second in assists, fourth in both steals and PIR and eighth in rebounds.

Loussavouvou finished with 14.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.2 blocks for an average PIR of 22.2. The guard was the tournament leader in assists, ranked second in steals, fifth in PIR, sixth in blocks and ninth in scoring.

U18 Cedevita Olimpija overpowers U18 Mega to win Adidas NextGen Ulm

U18 Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana won the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Ulm qualifier on Sunday with an impressive 82-73 victory over U18 Mega Super Belgrade. Cedevita led from tip to buzzer to win the event and claim a berth at the 2026 Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Finals, which will be held in Athens, Greece, in May in conjunction with the EuroLeague Final Four.

Maks Ciperle starred for Cedevita with 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks, Cameron Houindo added 24 points and 9 boards and Bine Pregl tallied 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Djordje Gnjato led Mega with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Vuk Danilovic scored 21 in defeat.

Ciperle scored twice as Cedevita opened the game with 9 unanswered points and Samba Gueye and Pregl added threes in a 10-0 run to make it 23-7. Gnjato awakened the Mega attack to get within 26-16 at the end of the first quarter. Houindo heated up as Cedevita surged ahead to 36-19 midway through the second period only to see Danilovic rally Mega to 45-35 at the break.

Mega came even closer, 47-41, early in the second half, but Cedevita responded with the next 7 points. Free throws by Mega’s Benjamin Teletovic made it 58-50 through three quarters. Teletovic added a triple to make it a 7-point game early in the fourth, however, Cedevita answered again through Ciperle and Houindo to remain in control. Mega kept the pressure on and it was 78-71 after Petar Bjelica’s bucket with just over a minute remaining. In the end, Mega’s rally ran out of time and Cedevita celebrated.

U18 ratiopharm ulm captured third place at the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Ulm qualifier on Sunday thanks to a 92-84 victory over U18 LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne. Ulm finishes the event with just a single defeat while ASVEL departs with a second straight loss after winning its first two games in Germany.

Yanu Slingerland poured in 20 points, Felix Kiehlneker tallied 18 points and 8 rebounds and Paul Plato posted 12 and 8 for Ulm. Appolinaire Loussavouvou led ASVEL with 19 points, 7 assists, 6 steals and 3 blocks and Stanley Risal scored 18 on 3-of-4 three-point shooting.

Plato scored 7 points as Ulm surged to a 13-5 start, but Yohan Bassoumba helped ASVEL roar back to lead 21-22 at the end of the first quarter. Loussavouvou pushed the visitors’ advantage to 27-33 before Ulm went on an 11-0 run – in which Slingerland and Milicic each scored twice – to cruise to 47-41 cushion at the break. ASVEL

unleashed a 0-9 run midway through third quarter to grab a 56-59 lead, though Kiehlneker handed Ulm a 63-61 advantage at the end of the quarter. ASVEL tied it early in the fourth and took a 72-73 lead on a triple by Risal. Ulm responded with back-to-back-to-back threes by Slingerland, Plato and Gustavs Brutans to take the lead for good.

U18 BAXI Manresa recorded a 61-75 victory over U18 Emporio Armani Milan in the fifth place game at the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Ulm qualifier on Sunday. Manresa finishes the event with a 2-2 record and Milan bows out at 1-3. 

U18 Manresa defeats U18 Milan in fifth-place game in Ulm

U18 BAXI Manresa recorded a 61-75 victory over U18 Emporio Armani Milan in the fifth place game at the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Ulm qualifier on Sunday. Manresa finishes the event with a 2-2 record and Milan bows out at 1-3.

Lucas Sanchez led the winners with 16 points and Bruno Jekabsons, Guillem Ecker, and Alex Muncunill netted 14 points each. Seydou Dolo also stood out with 11 rebounds. Farid Compaore was Milan’s top scorer with 12 points and Luca Bandirali added 10 in defeat.

After the teams traded baskets early, Muncunill scored half the points in a 0-10 Manresa run that gave his team the lead for good at 11-19. It was 13-24 after 10 minutes and 27-37 at halftime. Manresa scored the first 7 points of the second half, but Milan made a third-quarter push behind Leonardo Nicolodi to get within 43-48. The difference was 11 at the end of the third quarter and Milan closed it t0 7 early in the fourth, but could not get any closer as threes by Ecker and Shalev Lederman – the latter a four-point play – finished the game off.

U18 Next Gen Team Ulm tops U18 Olympiacos to finish seventh

U18 Next Gen Team Ulm finished the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Ulm qualifier on a winning note with an 89-77 victory over U18 Olympiacos Piraeus in the seventh-place game. The Next Gen Team Ulm finishes its participation in the even with a 2-2 record, while the junior Reds return to Greece winless.

Leonard Jorgoer together another monster game for the Next Gen Team Ulm. Leading the way with 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. Yalin Yildiz led all scorers with 22 points on 3-of-5 three-point shooting plus 5 assists, Paul Nnaga posted 14 points and 7 rebounds and Alonso De La Iglesia dished 8 assists for the winners. Spiridon Papaioannou paced Olympiacos with 20 points and Konstantinos Nikolaou added 12 points in defeat.

Olympiacos surged ahead early and led 17-28 after 10 minutes thanks to a red-hot Papaioannou, who bagged 11 first-quarter points. Nnaga stepped up in the second quarter to help the Next Gen Team Ulm close the gap and eventually go into halftime up 44-41. The Next Gen Team Ulm built on that advantage in the third quarter as it extended the margin to double figures before putting the game away with a late 9-0 run.

In the final game of group stage at the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Ulm qualifier, U18 BAXI Manresa beat U18 Olympiacos Piraeus 83-101 on Saturday night. This is Manresa’s first win in NextGen competition in more than 15 years, as its last victory dates back to January 5, 2011 when Manresa beat Joventut Badalona.

Manresa improved to 1-2 and won third place in Group B, while Olympiacos dropped to 0-3. On Sunday, Manresa will play in a fifth-place game against U18 Emporio Armani Milan, while Olympiacos will face U18 Next Gen Team Ulm in the seventh-place game.

Manresa had five scorers in double figures, led by Alex Muncunill who had 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Max Olvera and Bruno Jekabsons scored 13 apiece in a win. Spiridon Papaioannou had 20 points for Olympiacos, while Konstantinos Nikolaou scored 13.

U18 Mega overcomes ASVEL, clinches Group B

U18 Mega Super Belgrade remained perfect at the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Ulm qualifier and reached the first-place game by defeating LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne 92-82 on Saturday evening in Group B.

Mega finished the group stage with a 3-0 record, and will play against U18 Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana on Sunday for the right to earn a place at the NextGen Final in Athens in late May. Meanwhile, ASVEL suffered its first loss, dropping to 2-1 record, and will face U18 ratiopharm Ulm in Sunday’s third-place contest.

ASVEL briefly went in front early in the third quarter, but it was all Mega after that, pulling away to a 10-point margin before the end of the third quarter, then scoring the first 17 points of the fourth to open a 76-59 margin and never looked back.

Nikola Karalic paced Mega with 21 points, Vuk Danilovic had 15 points while Peta Bjelica collected 11 points and 9 rebounds in a victory. Stanley Risal paced all ASVEL scorers with 15 points, Yohan Bassoumba collected 14 points and 11 rebounda, while Appolinaire Loussavouvou had 14 points, 8 assists and 4rebounds in a loss.

U18 Cedevita makes history, sinks U18 Ulm to win Group A

U18 Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana beat the home side U18 ratiopharm Ulm 74-85 to win Group A of the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Ulm qualifier, reaching Sunday’s first-place game. Both teams finished the group stage with 2-1 record, but Cedevita won the group because of the win in this head-to-head clash.

The team from the Slovenian capital will next play in the first-place game of a NextGen qualifier for the first time in club history. Cedevita’s previous best finish in a qualifier was fourth place, which it took three times.

Cedevita’s opponent will be either U18 Mega Super Belgrade or U18 LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, and the winner of the first-place game will earn a right to play at the NextGen Final in Athens in late May.

Here are the eight players to watch at the NextGen Ulm event.

### Nikola Karalic (U18 Mega Super Belgrade)

[Nikola Karalic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/nge/players/nikola-karalic/012906/) will be playing his third NextGen EuroLeague season, having helped Mega reach the NextGen Finals twice. Last season, he averaged 14.0 points at the NextGen Finals in Dubai after posting 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.8 steals at the NextGen Istanbul Qualifier. He also contributed to Mega winning the U19 ABA League title, his second championship in the competition.

This season, the 2.02-meter forward is averaging 8.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists for Mega’s sister club, OKK Belgrade, in the Serbian League, while also competing in the U19 ABA League. Gaining senior-level experience has been crucial for Karalic’s growth both on and off the court. A versatile player, he is a true three-level scorer and an elite defender thanks to his long wingspan. He can effectively play positions 2 through 4 and have a major impact on the game.

### Cameron Houindo (U18 Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana)

[Cameron Houindo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/nge/players/cameron-houindo/013063/) will be playing in his third NextGen season. The big man moved from France to Ljubljana in the summer of 2025 after impressing at the 2024–25 NextGen tournament in Belgrade, where he averaged 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds. He followed that with 9.7 points and 5.3 rebounds at the NextGen Finals in Abu Dhabi with U18 Pole France INSEP Paris.

The 2.06-meter center was named MVP of the FIBA U16 EuroBasket 2024, where France won the title and he averaged 13.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 2.3 blocks. Last summer, he posted 7.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks at the FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2025.

This season, Houindo has played for Cedevita’s senior team, averaging 2.6 points in the EuroCup and 3.6 points in the Adriatic League, though he has been sidelined since mid-December with a hand/wrist injury. An excellent athlete, Houindo is effective in pick-and-roll situations and consistently active on the offensive glass. Improving his shooting efficiency and face-up game from the perimeter remains the next step in his development.

### Lucas Sanchez (U18 BAXI Manresa)

[Lucas Sanchez](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/nge/players/lucas-sanchez/013499/) will be playing his second season in the NextGen competition after averaging 8.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.3 steals for Manresa at the NextGen Istanbul event last season. He has made one appearance for the club in both the Spanish League and the EuroCup.

Primarily competing in Spain’s U22 league, Sanchez is averaging 10.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.6 steals. He has good size for a point guard and a high basketball IQ. Known for his advanced pick-and-roll game, he can both facilitate for teammates and finish creatively in the paint. Continued improvement in his shooting and on-ball defense will be key to his progression.

### Jamie Edoka (U18 Next Gen Ulm Team)

[Jamie Edoka](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/nge/players/jamie-edoka/012916/) is competing in the NextGen tournament for the second time after totaling 1 point and 1 rebound in 13 minutes over four games with the Next Gen Belgrade team in 2023–24. The German guard plays for Frankfurt and is averaging 16.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in the ProB third division, along with 20.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.2 assists in the U19 NBBL.

Edoka has also made one appearance in the German League this season after four games at that level in 2024–25. On the international stage, he competed at the FIBA U16 EuroBasket 2024 and later averaged 10.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists at the FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2025. A strong-bodied guard, Edoka can score in multiple ways, using his strength and athleticism offensively while standing out defensively for his versatility and instincts.

### Teo Milicic (U18 ratiopharm ulm)

[Teo Milicic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/nge/players/teo-milicic/013624/) will be playing in his second NextGen event after averaging 6.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.2 steals in Ulm last season. This year, the point guard has averaged 1.9 points and 1.6 assists in the EuroCup, 1.7 points in the German League, 12.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in ProB, and 16.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in the U19 NBBL.

Basketball runs in the family: his father, Igor Milicic, is the head coach of the Polish national team and EuroCup club Aris Thessaloniki, while his brother, Igor Milicic Jr., plays in the NBA G League and is a key contributor for Poland. Teo is a highly competitive point guard with exceptional basketball IQ, playing with maturity beyond his years. A natural leader, he is constantly vocal on the floor and embraces responsibility in key moments. He can create his own shot, run the pick-and-roll efficiently, and score in multiple ways, while defensively setting the tone with relentless effort. Improving shot consistency remains a priority.

The 2.01-meter forward represented Italy for two summers at the FIBA U16 EuroBasket. He was part of the team that finished second in 2023, qualifying for the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup 2024, and later averaged 4.0 points and 3.0 rebounds at the 2024 U16 European Championship. An explosive athlete with good size, Bandirali can attack closeouts, finish above the rim, and use his strength to score inside. Defensively, he is effective guarding multiple positions thanks to his mobility, length, and help-side instincts.

### Marvyn Wade (U18 LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne)

This season, he is posting 13.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.2 steals with ASVEL’s U21 team.

At the national level, Wade helped France win the title at the FIBA U16 EuroBasket 2024, contributing 5.1 points per game. He stands out as a dynamic scorer with a natural attacking mindset. His speed allows him to consistently beat defenders, create space, and push the pace, especially in transition. His feel for the game is a major strength, though continued work on emotional control and frustration management will aid his development.
