Aleksej Pokusevski seals move to Partizan
Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade has confirmed the signing of Aleksej Pokusevski.
Pokusevski (2.14 meters, 22 years old) joins the club after spending the last four seasons in the NBA.
Not only does Pokusevski's return to Serbia see him return to his native country, but it is also a chance for him to return to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. He joined Olympiacos Piraeus's youth system in 2015 and went on to make three EuroLeague appearances between 2018 and 2020 before heading stateside.
The 22-year-old finished the end of the 2023-24 campaign with the Charlotte Hornets, averaging 7.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 18 games.
The Serbian forward signed for Charlotte after being waived by the Oklahoma City Thunder, which is where he had played for three and a half years. In that time, he played 150 times for the Thunder.
To date, Pokusevski's best statistical seasons were his first three in the NBA.
After posting a career-best 8.2 points in 45 games as a rookie, as well as 4.7 rebounds and a personal-high 2.2 assists, he averaged 7.6 points, a career-high 5.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 61 appearances in his second campaign in the league.
His third season saw him average 8.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and personal-best 1.2 blocks in 34 games.
