LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne strengthened its backcourt with the signing of point guards Retin Obasohan and Parker Jackson-Cartwright for the coming season.
ASVEL adds Obasohan, Jackson-Cartwright to backcourt

Obasohan (1.88 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Hapoel Jerusalem, where he was one of the top players in the Israeli League last season. He ranked fourth in average PIR (20.1), fifth in assists (5.1 apg.) and sixth in scoring (16.8 ppg.). Obasohan made 41.2% of his three-pointers and grabbed 4.0 rebounds per game.
A native of Belgium, Obasohan played college basketball in the United States at the University of Alabama and then began his professional career in Italy with Avellino. He has also played for Gotha and Brose Bamberg in Germany, Northern Arizona in the G-League and Nymburk in the Czech Republic. Obasohan will make his EuroLeague debut this season.
Jackson-Cartwright (1.80 meters, 26 years old) was named the German League MVP last season after a spectacular campaign with Telekom Bonn during which he averaged 20.4 points, 7.1 assists and 2.1 steals per game and posted a performance index rating of 19.8. Jackson-Cartwright began his professional career in the G-League with Westchester before coming to Europe for the 2019-20 season with Cheshire Phoenix of the British League. He was the MVP of the French second division the following season with Saint-Quentin. Jackson-Cartwright will make his EuroLeague debut this season with ASVEL.
