CSKA Moscow on Sunday announced that two players have left the team and two more were in the process of doing so. A fifth player's departure was communicated by the club on Monday.

CSKA's statement on Sunday, in its entirety, read:
"For personal reasons related to the current situation between Russia and Ukraine, as well as its possible consequences, Tornike Shengelia and Iffe Lundberg left the location of CSKA. In the near future, Marius Grigonis and Johannes Voigtmann will also go to their homeland. The actions of the players are a violation of the terms of the contract and club regulations, but the club treats the personal situation of each of the players with understanding. The status of player agreements will be resolved when the political and sports situation in Europe returns to normal.
"All other basketball players and coaches continue to prepare for the upcoming games accordingly to the usual schedule.
"The club monitors the development of the situation, focusing on the decisions of government organizations and tournaments in which the team takes part."
On Monday, CSKA communicated that Joel Bolomboy had also left. The club's statement said:
"Joel Bolomboy left the club for family and personal reasons related to the current situation between Russia and Ukraine, as well as its possible consequences."
