This is what the protagonists had to say after the Playoffs Game 2 showdown between FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich.
Post-game quotes: Barcelona vs. Bayern

Andrea Trinchieri, FC Bayern Munich head coach
"First of all, I am very happy for my players, for my organization. At least we're going to have two home games. I'm very realistic. Barca has been in these situations already. They know how to navigate through this. So, I am happy for the performance of my players. And I'm happy for my organization that in 15 days, whatever happens to us – a player in surgery this morning, players out after 2 minutes of the game – that in 15 days we were able to beat Real and Barca in Spain. This is very important for our organization. When you are in the playoffs, you have to give your best, because it is an opportunity. We are playing against the best team, the best coach, the best system. And it's a great challenge. The first game we tried, it was not enough. Today we raised the level. But as I said, I already know how is the situation. I am very down to earth."
Sarunas Jasikevicius, FC Barcelona head coach
"Congratulations to Bayern and to Andrea [Trinchieri] for this win. I think they deserved to win. I think they had an excellent game in many factors of the game. A lot of things that we expected they would react in, they did. We were not able to play in certain situations our basketball. We played different than in the Game 1, especially in the post-up situations. It seems we didn't understand that in many situations Bayern would collapse, would send three players on [Nikola] Mirotic and on [Brandon] Davies. I think they read those situations perfectly in the first game, but today it was a different story. It changes a lot the turnover game; we gave Bayern a lot of possessions. I think in the first game, their possessions were in the low 70s and today it was 90. It's a big change in general when you give up 90 points at home in a playoff game. Something is not right. Most likely the preparation by the coach is not right, the mentality of the players is not right. And it's been for a long time that details are killing us. For sure, one situation in which Bayern is much, much better than us is in making fouls before the bonus. We have been emphasizing this within our team from three weeks ago, when we knew Bayern was our opponent. They would not give you anything for free, and unfortunately, we gave so much stuff for free. We lost the home court and now it is up to us to have a good game in our next domestic game, to play better basketball, and then go from there."
"The problem with our team is always the details. Details are killing us. I am trying to emphasize this; didn't do a good job. I thought Bayern really had a great game, a great offensive game, made a lot of difficult shots. I tried to emphasize that Deshaun Thomas after zero points [in Game 1] will come out firing. He really had a huge game. Like I said, we need to get back to playing physical and really paying attention to details."

Deshaun Thomas, FC Bayern Munich forward:
"We knew that the second game was very important for us. I think we locked in, made big plays. The whole team did; everybody contributed. We came here to play hard, and I think it was a good match. It was an important win for us, I mean, and also for me. The first game was a low-scoring one for myself, trying to get the rhythm, but it happens. But my teammates helped me in this game. I came out and I played well for them."
Ognjen Jaramaz, FC Bayern Munich guard:
"I think we played great defense the whole game, and that was the main reason why we won tonight. It was a tough, physical game. Barcelona was the first team in the Euroleague, in the regular season, so we know that if we want to win, we need to play like today and even harder."
