Arnas Butkevicius led the winners with 13 points, and Alen Smailagic scored all of his 10 points in the fourth quarter. Jordan Loyd led Monaco with 18 points and Mike James added 12.

Bayern continued its climb up the standings as it completed a perfect double-round week with a 71-84 victory at ASVEL for its fourth straight win. Bayern took control of the game with a 2-11 finish to the third quarter to improve to 5-2 and move to 2-2 on the road. Devin Booker paced Bayern with 16 points, Oscar da Silva had 15 points, Shabazz Napier 12, and Johannes Voigtmann chipped in 9 points and 11 rebounds, while Carsen Edwards was held in check with just 8 points. But ASVEL did not have enough weapons as it fell to 2-5 with its fourth loss in the last five games. Nando De Colo hit 5 three-pointers for 19 points and 7 assists, and Theo Maledon had 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade 77-81 Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens
Panathinaikos improved to 5-2 in the EuroLeague after a brave second-half fightback in the cauldron of the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall gave the competition’s reigning champion a 77-81 road win at Crvena Zvezda. A smooth team effort saw five visiting players finish in double digits, paced by Kendrick Nunn, who scored 13 points. Lorenzo Brown and Juancho Hernangomez added 12 each, Jerian Grant netted 11 and Lorenzo Brown chipped in with 10 for the visitors. Paris registered its third straight win in the EuroLeague, this time in a low-scoring affair, as it held off the visiting Baskonia 67-65 on Friday night at Adidas Arena. Both teams hold a 4-3 record after the first month of the regular season. Paris led for the majority of the contest and struggled a bit offensively, but not as much as Baskonia, which shot a club-record low 1 for 26 from three-point range. Paris had no scorers in double figures, with TJ Shorts, Nadir Hifi and Tyson Ward each netting 9 points. Ward also had 7 rebounds while Mikael Jantunen collected 8 points and 8 rebounds. Chima Moneke shined for Baskonia with 19 points and 12 rebounds, Donta Hall recorded 11 points and 8 rebounds, and Markus Howard scored 10 points but on 1-for-11 three-point shooting.

Efes rebounded from its home loss to Barcelona earlier this week by easing past ALBA for a third win in its last four games. The Turkish side took control of the game with 2-14 run late in the second quarter as it improved to 4-3. Jordan Nwora and Dan Oturu paced five Efes scorers in double digits with 16 points each. ALBA, which has now lost 17 of its 19 showdowns with Efes in the EuroLeague since the turn of the century, has lost four straight games for a 1-6 record. Martin Hermannsson tied a career-high with 24 points for ALBA.
Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv 79-78 Real Madrid
Maccabi edged Real Madrid 79-78 in a Round 7 thriller after entering the fourth quarter down 9. Both teams now have 3-4 records in the standings. Saben Lee led the winners with 19 points, including the game-winning shot with 0.1 seconds remaining. Rokas Jokubaitis added 17 points and 7 assists for Maccabi. Mario Hezonja paced Real with 18 points.
Olympiacos Piraeus 95-74 FC Barcelona
Olympiacos ended its two-round week in dominant fashion by thrashing Barcelona. The hosts outscored the league leader in each of the four quarters, pulling away in the third to end the visitors’ five-game winning streak. With this victory, Olympiacos improved its record to 4-3, while Barcelona dropped to 5-2. Evan Fournier led all scorers with 19 points, followed by Sasha Vezenkov with 18. For the visiting side, Kevin Punter scored 18 points.
EA7 Emporio Armani Milan 99-90 Virtus Segafredo Bologna
Milan came out on top in a rip-roaring derby d’Italia against Virtus after a strong fourth quarter. Nikola Mirotic paced Milan with 21 points and 13 boards, having netted 12 points in the home stretch when the home team turned the tide for good. Zach LeDay chipped in with 19 points. Toko Shengelia amassed a game-high 25 points for Virtus. Milan improved to 2-5 while Virtus dropped to 1-6.
