· CSKA leads 21-10 in head-to-head games between the teams this century, including an 80-61 win in Moscow last season.
· Olympiacos has a four-game winning streak in Final Four games between these teams.
· Last season in Piraeus, CSKA led by 25 points before pulling out a 74-75 win over Olympiacos on free throws by Mike James with 2.6 seconds to go.
· CSKA and Olympiacos battled for the EuroLeague crown in the 2012 championship game in Istanbul. In one of the greatest comebacks in sports history, Olympiacos rallied from a 19-point deficit in the final 13 minutes to beat CSKA 62-61 on a game-winning shot by Georgios Printezis with 0.7 seconds left. Kostas Papanikolaou had a team-high 18 points in the game.
· Olympiacos and CSKA met in the semifinals at the 2013 Final Four in London. The Reds rolled past CSKA Moscow 52-69. Kyle Hines and Pero Antic paced Olympiacos with 13 points apiece.
· CSKA and Olympiacos faced off in the 2015 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Semifinals in Madrid. CSKA led 61-52 with less than four minutes left, but Vassilis Spanoulis scored 11 of his 13 points in crunch time to carry Olympiacos to a 68-70 victory.
· Olympiacos mounted another famous comeback to take the 2017 semifinal, recovering from 13 points down to triumph 82-78 behind 14 points apiece from Vassilis Spanoulis, Georgios Printezis and Kostas Papanikolaou.
· CSKA's single-game record for steals by one player is 7, which Aaron Jackson set against Olympiacos Piraeus in the EuroLeague semifinals in May 2015.
· CSKA center Nikola Milutinov spent five seasons with Olympiacos. He played a total of 135 EuroLeague games with the Reds and helped the team reach the championship game in 2017. He played under Coach Georgios Bartzokas and was a teammate of many current Olympiacos players.
· CSKA guard Daniel Hackett played with Olympiacos for two seasons, from 2015 to 2017. He was a teammate there of Kostas Papanikolaou and Georgios Printezis.
· Thomas Walkup of Olympiacos and Marius Grigonis of CSKA were backcourt mates at Zalgiris Kaunas the last three seasons.
· Alexey Shved became the first, and still the only player in EuroLeague history to attempt 20 or more three-point shots in a game. Playing for Khimki Moscow Region against Olympiacos, he finished the December 2019 game with 7-of-21 shooting from downtown. He scored a career-high 36 points in that game.
