From Cuba to Spain… to Israel
Prior to joining Valencia in the summer of 2021, Rivero spent two years with fellow Spanish side San Pablo Burgos. After starting his professional career with Capitalinos in his native Cuba in the 2014-15 season, Rivero played for Argentinian team Estudiantes Concordia between 2015 and 2018 before signing for another Argentinian side in Boca Juniors, where he remained for one season. Since arriving in Spain in 2019, Rivero has established himself as one of the Spanish League's best big men, and Oded Kattash will be hoping that he can now make a big impact upon joining Maccabi.
