Partizan completes Tyrique Jones signing
Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade has signed athletic center Tyrique Jones.
Jones (27 years old, 2.03 meters) arrives from Anadolu Efes Istanbul, where he made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut last season.
He averaged 7.2 points on 63.4% shooting, 4.3 rebounds and 0.8 steals over 17:32 minutes in 34 games in the 2023-24 campaign. Jones was eighth in the league in offensive rebounds on a per-minute basis with an average of 4.5 prorated over 40 minutes.
Jones burst onto the continental scene with Turk Telekom Ankara the season before. He earned All-EuroCup Second Team honors and was named the 2022-23 Turkish League MVP. Jones helped Turk Telekom finish that season as the BKT EuroCup runner-up. He averaged 12.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.2 steals for a PIR of 19.0 in the EuroCup.
The American big man began his professional career with Korean side Wonju DB Promy in 2020 and finished that season with Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel. Jones played for Italian outfit Victoria Libertas Pesaro in 2021-22.
