Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade has signed combo-guard Duane Washington Jr. for the 2024-25 season.
Washington (1.88 meters, 24 years old) comes to Europe for the first time after spending the first three seasons of his professional career in the NBA and the G League.
Last season, he averaged 22.5 points on 39.3% three-point shooting, 4.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists in the G-League regular season for the Westchester Knicks.
Washington was born in Germany when his father, Duane Washington Sr., played there. Washington Sr. also played in the NBA, France, Spain and Israel during his career.
After playing college basketball at Ohio State University, Washington Jr. signed with the Indiana Pacers and averaged 9.9 points and 1.8 assists in 48 games as a rookie in the 2021-22 season. The following season, he was worth 7.9 points and 2.0 assists in 31 games for the Phoenix Suns.
