Partizan reels Isaac Bonga to Belgrade
Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade has sige Isaac Bonga as a part of a revamp of its roster ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Bonga (2.04 meters, 25 years old) arrives from FC Bayern Munich, where he played the past two seasons.
Bonga averaged 6.1 points and 4.0 rebounds in 31 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances last season, starting in 21 of those. He also averaged 8.3 points, shooting 44.2% from three-point range, and grabbed 4.6 rebounds in the German League action, helping Bayern win the German championship.
Partizan's new signing joined Bayern in the summer of 2022 after spending four years in the USA. He spent the first year there between the Los Angeles Lakers and its G League affiliate, South Bay. He played the next two seasons for the Washington Wizards, appearing in 109 games, then spent the 2021-22 campaign between the Toronto Raptors of the NBA and Raptors 905 of the G League.
Bonga began his professional career as a teenager in the lower divisions of German basketball with Koblenz before joining Fraport Skyliners, where he played between 2016 and 2018. He has also been a member of the German national team, having helped the team win the 2023 FIBA World Cup gold medal.
