After nearing his recovery from a torn hamstring on his left leg, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv's star big man Jaylen Hoard has suffered the same injury on his right leg. Hoard travelled with the club to Belgrade to play in last week's game against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, but was a late scratch after experiencing pain in the right leg.
Upon the team's return to Israel, Hoard underwent testing which diagnosed a torn hamstring muscle. He will undergo another MRI in two weeks.
Hoard has started 21 of his 23 appearances this season, his first in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. He leads Maccabi in scoring (15.0 ppg.), rebounds (5.1 rpg.), steals (1.3 spg.) and PIR. Hoard is second in the league in steals and 10th in PIR.
