After playing college basketball at Iowa State University, Mitrou-Long began his professional career in the United States, where spent parts of two seasons in the NBA with Utah and a third with Indiana. He also played for Salt Lake City and Fort Wayne in the G-League. Mitrou-Long’s campaign in Brescia marked his first season in Europe.
“When people think of this Olimpia organization, they think of excellence," Mitrou-Long told the club's website. "I’m very excited to compete for this historic club. There’s no goal too high when it comes to Olimpia Milano and I’m thankful and motivated for just that reason. I can’t wait to play.”
