He immediately re-signed with Manisa Basket, the Turkish club for which Lee had played earlier this season.

In eight games with Maccabi, Lee averaged 12.0 points, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals over 19:21 minutes. His [biggest highlight](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/videos/lee-wins-it-motorola-magic-moment-of-the-night/) was making the game-winning jumper in a Round 7 [victory over Real Madrid](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/lee-lifts-maccabi-past-real-79-78/).

Lee’s place with Maccabi seemed in jeopardy after he was not used at all in the team’s road [loss at EA7 Emporio Armani Milan](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/olimpia-milano-stands-strong-against-maccabi-98-86/) on Thursday. After that game, head coach Oded Kattash discussed the situation.

"I am trying as much as possible despite the circumstances to build a way, to build a process. And the fact that \[Lee\] is not with us every day makes it very difficult. I have no complaints about him. This is what was agreed to with him. But it’s an impossible situation," Kattash said.

Okobo led Monaco to a 103-92 home win against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne with 27 points – his most since joining Monaco in 2022 – on 6-of-8 two-pointers, 3-of-4 three-pointers and 6-of-6 free throws. He added 6 assists, 3 steals and 6 fouls drawn to amass a PIR of 36, one shy off matching his career-best effort. Okobo has earned MVP of the Round honors for the third time in his career, and he is the first Monaco player to achieve it this season.

[Theo Maledon](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/theo-maledon/007027/) of ASVEL and [Andreas Obst](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/andreas-obst/004508/) of FC Bayern Munich both amassed a PIR of 30. Maledon finished with 24 points on 4-of-5 two-pointers, 3-of-4 three-pointers and 7-of-7 free throws, as well as 2 rebounds, 8 assists, a steal and 7 fouls drawn. Obst, meanwhile, set the EuroLeague single-game record for three-pointers made with 11, which came on 16 attempts, en route to a career-high 34 points in a 100-78 win against FC Barcelona. He also posted 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Barcelona’s [Jabari Parker](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/jabari-parker/012745/) and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan’s [Zach LeDay](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/zach-leday/008987/) had a PIR of 29, with LeDay’s squad winning 98-86 against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. Parker scored a career-best 26 points, in addition to recording 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. LeDay amassed 22 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, a block and 6 fouls drawn.

Bayern’s Obst scored 34 points in Round 11, the most of any player this season. His teammate [Carsen Edwards](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/carsen-edwards/011987/) leads the league in scoring with 21.4 points per game.

[Tyson Ward](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/tyson-ward/012610/) of Paris Basketball led all rebounders in this round by pulling down 11 boards. Two players – Milan’s [Nikola Mirotic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/nikola-mirotic/000796/) and Real Madrid’s [Walter Tavares](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/walter-tavares/005791/) – are tied atop the charts in rebounds with 7.5 boards per game.

[Alpha Diallo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/alpha-diallo/011226/) of Monaco collected a career-best 5 steals, more than anyone else in this round. Diallo is the season leader in steals with 1.7 per contest.

[Georgios Papagiannis](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/georgios-papagiannis/005844/), also of Monaco, had a round-high 3 blocks. Efes’s [Vincent Poirier](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/vincent-poirier/004887/) and Real Madrid’s Tavares are averaging a league-best 1.6 blocks per game.

Paris duo Shorts (21 points, 10 assists) and Ward (11 points, 11 rebounds), Efes’s Bryant (11 points, 10 assists), and Real Madrid’s Campazzo (12 points, 10 assists) all posted a double-double in Round 11.

The German international sharpshooter set a new EuroLeague single-game record of 11 three-pointers for a career high of 34 points, propelling Bayern to its sixth successive home win of the season in Europe’s premier club competition.

Bayern is now 6-0 at SAP Garden, which only opened this season, and 8-3 overall, having reached giddy heights in the EuroLeague as the Bavarian outfit climbed up to third place behind leader Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul and second-placed Olympiacos Piraeus.

Obst, who shot 11 of 16 from downtown after going 10 of 12 at one point, having sank 6 three-pointers in the third quarter, was allowed to take the game ball home after a night to remember but he remained as humble as ever in his post-game comments.

“Someone told me during the game that I needed one more \[made three-pointer to set the record\] and that’s why I was kind of aware of it,” Obst said in a courtside interview. “It was surely a special night, first of all because of the team win. It’s great to extend our home record to 6-0. This is a result of hard work and my teammates believing in me all the time. I’ve had a tough start to the season but their belief in me gave me confidence and I am super happy right now, but all credit goes to them.”

Overall, Bayern made 20 of 42 from long range, 15 of 24 from inside and sank 10-of-11 free throws to vanquish a flat-looking Barcelona, which struggled all night against the home team’s aggressive defense. Bayern’s head coach Gordie Herbert singled out Obst’s prolific long-range shooting but primarily praised the team for a valiant effort as [Carsen Edwards](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/carsen-edwards/011987/) added 25 points. 

Herbert also praised [Nick Weiler-Babb](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nick-weiler-babb/010391/), whose aggressive defense on [Kevin Punter](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/kevin-punter/009862/) limited Barcelona’s dynamic guard to 7 points on 2-of-12 shooting from the floor.  

“We’re getting better as a team, but the biggest thing is that we are enjoying playing basketball right now,” the 65-year-old said. “You can see that on their faces.”

“We shot a lot of threes tonight and fortunately we made a lot. We did a really good job on defense as Nick Weiler-Babb led the charge there. In my opinion he is one of the best all-round players.

“Obviously we’ve had some very good individual performances but it was within the team structure. Andi Obst put on a shooting clinic in both halves and like I told him many times, I am surprised when he misses.”

Edwards struggled from downtown, 2 of 9, but made 7 of 9 from inside as he bedazzled his markers time and again with livewire plays which left Barcelona’s guards chasing shadows. He mixed drives to the basket with trademark mid-range jump-shots, having made sure Bayern kept its foot on the gas in the fourth quarter.

Barcelona rolled over in the home straight for a second successive crushing defeat following [an 87-103 home loss to EuroLeague debutants Paris Basketball](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/unstoppable-paris-rolls-over-barcelona-87-103/) last week, but Edwards too warned against any complacency within Bayern’s ranks after the team’s best performance of the season.  

“We’re taking it one game at a time as there are so many games left,” he said. “This is a great group of guys and we are going to continue to work for each other.”

“We will try to be the best we can on every possession, but the most important thing is to get some stops on defense. Every team is competitive and defense is going to be the key for the rest of the season.”

In Round 12, Bayern visits Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade while Barcelona faces a challenging clash at home to Real Madrid in *El Clásico*, with last season’s runner-up also under pressure to deliver after a patchy start to the season.

Lonnie Walker may have taken most of the headlines, but Deividas Sirvydis enjoyed a career night for Zalgiris Kaunas as it beat the reigning EuroLeague champion, Panathinaikos BC, in Round 11.

He might not take too many headlines away from superstar teammate Lonnie Walker, but the role played by [Deividas Sirvydis](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/deividas-sirvydis/007029/) in [Zalgiris Kaunas](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/zalgiris-kaunas/zal/)’s thrilling [84-77 victory over Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/lonnie-walker-inspires-zalgiris-to-win-over-panathinaikos-84-77/) on Friday night should not be underestimated.

The 24-year-old guard was his team’s second-highest scorer, showcasing his shooting skills by netting a career-best 19 points after an initial flurry of long-range bombs in the first quarter. Sirvydis finished with 5 three-point strikes on 8 attempts, and has now netted from deep in four consecutive games as well as striking multiple three-balls in six games so far this season.

Although recruitments from overseas might grab more attention, the summer signing of Sirvydis underlines – as if anyone needs reminding – that Lithuanian basketball also has a great depth of talent for Zalgiris to mine.

Sirvydis has taken an indirect and winding route to the top tier of European basketball. After first springing to prominence as a teenager with Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius, winning the Adidas Next Generation Tournament MVP award in 2018, he joined Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem before trying his luck in the United States, making 23 NBA appearances with the Detroit Pistons and spending time in the G League.

But his career wasn’t really taking off across the pond, so Sirvydis returned to Lithuania in 2023, joining 7Bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys. An upturn in playing time allowed his talent to flourish, and he was named in the 2023-24 All-EuroCup Second Team after leading the competition in scoring with 18.9 points per game.

The past summer saw Zalgiris come calling, with Sirvydis now starting to consistently show the qualities that have always been easily evident ever since his teenage breakthrough.

Along with the scoring skills on display in Friday’s win over Panathinaikos, Sirvydis showed that he can also play hard by grabbing 7 rebounds – a career high and game high alongside visiting bruisers Mathias Lessort and Juancho Hernangomez. And the fact that he spent more than 22 minutes on the floor – the fourth most out of all Zalgiris players – shows that coach Andrea Trinchieri is already entrusting him with a leadership role.

That’s understandable because, considering the experience he has already gathered, Sirvydis can be regarded as a veteran even at the age of 24.

Most of his talking was done on the court, with Sirvydis restricting himself to a handful of pithy observations when he was interviewed by EuroLeague TV after the game.

His three-point shooting? “I just felt good…wide open, shooting threes. That’s my job.”

His rebounding? “Before he game our gameplan was to control the rebounds and that helped us a lot.”

The pregame preparations? “Three days of practices. We had a lot of time to prepare and it helped us a lot to get ready for the game and develop.”

He might be more fun to watch on the floor than in front of the microphone, but that’s perfectly fine… Zalgiris’s Silent Sniper Sirvydis is quickly becoming a major force.

FC Bayern Basketball guard Andreas Obst set a new EuroLeague single-game record by hitting 11 three-pointers in Round 11, which helped his team secure a 100-78 win over FC Barcelona.

 FC Bayern Munich romped to a thoroughly impressive 100-78 rout of FC Barcelona in Round 11 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and improved to 8-3 after the German team’s guard Andreas Obst set the competition’s all-time single-game record for made three-pointers by knocking down 11 on Friday night.

Obst paced rampant Bayern with a career-high 34 points and Carsen Edwards provided perfect backup with 25, while Nick Weiler-Babb netted 14 and Devin Booker added 10 as Bayern extended its flawless home record this season in its brand-new arena, SAP Garden, to six wins.

At the other end, Jabari Parker stood out for Barcelona with a career-best 26 points and Willy Hernangomez chipped in with 10, but the rest of the cast misfired from all over as the Spanish outfit’s star guard Kevin Punter endured a tough night, amassing a mere 7 points on 2-of-12 shooting from the floor.

Punter drew first blood from deep but that turned out to be his only made three-pointer, and after Obst replied to make the score 5-5, Bayern took charge from downtown as the hosts hit 6 of 11 beyond the arc in the first quarter to open up a 28-21 lead.

Bayern also made all five shots from inside in the opening period and the trend continued in the second quarter, with Weiler-Babb also on song from long range. The home team enjoyed a 48-38 cushion at halftime, with Obst and Weiler-Babb netting 12 points each, as Bayern made 10 of 23 from deep and 7 of 7 from two-point range, having contained Barcelona to just 2 of 9 from downtown thanks to aggressive perimeter pressure which denied the visitors open looks.

The magnificent Obst, who hit 4 three-pointers in the opening half, ran riot in the third quarter when he made 6 shots from downtown and clenched his fist in delight as he went 10 of 12 at one point, with Bayern racing away into a 77-58 lead ahead of the final 10 minutes.

With Obst missing a few audacious long-range attempts in an effort to set the new record, Edwards took over the mantle in the fourth quarter with a flurry of dazzling drives to the basket and mid-range jumpers, as Bayern pulled away to 92-66, its biggest lead of the night.

Obst was not to be denied his moment of glory, sparking loud cheers in the gym when he sank his record-breaking triple in the dying moments of the game, resulting in him taking home the game ball at the end of a memorable night.

Obst broke the record with 36 seconds to go in the fourth quarter, having had 10 three-pointers made at the end of the third, which had him tied with [Shane Larkin](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/shane-larkin/007200/) (twice), [Andrew Goudelock](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/andrew-goudelock/004903/), and [Marcus Eriksson](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/marcus-eriksson/003151/) for the most all-time in a single game.

Larkin had 10 three-pointers made on two occasions in the 2019-20 season, first in Round 11 against Bayern and then in Round 28 against Olympiacos Piraeus, while Eriksson made 10 in Round 28 of the 2020-21 season against Khimki Moscow Region and Goudelock swished 10 in Round 5 of the 2014-15 campaign against Bayern.

His 11 three-point makes also comfortably set a new club record for Bayern. The previous record was 7, held by Obst (twice) and [DJ Seeley](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/dennis-seeley/004862/). Obst twice hit 7 three-pointers in two games in the 2022-23 season – in Round 30 at EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and in Round 33 at Real Madrid – while Seeley struck 7 triples in Round 18 of the 2020-21 campaign.

If that wasn’t all, Obst set a new career high with 34 points, beating his previously tally of 27 which came in that Round 30 clash against Milan.

Speaking after the game, Obst was his typical humble self. “Somebody told me during the game, 'You need one more,' that’s why I was kind of aware of it,” he told EuroLeague TV. “Sure, a special night. First of all, I’m super happy for the team. Going to the national team break now, 6-0 at home, great record.”

Obst also had a special message for his teammates, with the Germany international thanking them for helping make this accomplishment possible and stepping up in the early months of the season: “I think the work, the work over the last \[few\] weeks, has been good. Also my teammates, they believed in me all the time. I had a tough start to the season, but they believed in me, they cheered for me, they gave me confidence, and it paid off. I’m super happy and super happy to have them around me. It also goes to them.”

Zalgiris Kaunas got back to winning ways in the EuroLeague after Lonnie Walker inspired the team to an 84-77 win over Panathinaikos BC in Round 11.

Zalgiris Kaunas ended a four-game losing run in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague by downing reigning champ Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens 84-77. The teams are now tied at 7-4 in a four-way share of fifth place.

Zalgiris made an electric start for a double-digit lead midway through the first quarter and was up by 18 in the second, but Panathinaikos, with assistant coach Christos Serelis in charge instead of head coach Ergin Ataman, responded and it was 49-42 at the interval. The visitors kept pushing and briefly led in the third quarter, before Zalgiris found fresh resolve to pull clear again. Lonnie Walker led the way with 24 points, Deividas Sirvydis had 5 triples in his 19 points, and Sylvain Francisco scored 12. Kendrick Nunn paced Panathinaikos with 19 points, and Omer Yurtseven added 16.

Dovydas Giedraitis’s floater and Walker’s brutal dunk gave Zalgiris a fast start, and Nunn’s triple was answered by Sirvydis from deep for a 9-3 lead. Walker detonated another dunk and added a step-back three, and Sirvydis hit another pair of triples to make it 20-9. Jerian Grant’s deep strike and Dinos Mitoglou’s reverse slam pulled Panathinaikos closer, but a triple from Edgaras Ulanovas kept Zalgiris well ahead, 28-18, at the end of the first.

Yurtseven scored 6 points early in the second, including a towering alley-oop, but Walker’s triple and Francisco’s first field goal protected the hosts' lead. Arnas Butkevicius and Walker kept Zalgiris hot from long range for a 39-26 lead, which was further stretched by Brady Manek with another three-pointer. Yurtseven and Kostas Sloukas changed the momentum with all the points in a 0-7 run, and the unstoppable Yurtseven netted again to make it 46-35. Sirvydis hit back with his fourth three-ball, but Nunn also struck from deep and it was 49-42 at the break.

Nunn’s triple opened the second half, before Walker’s driving layup got Zalgiris moving. Mathias Lessort’s alley-oop, Lorenzo Brown’s transition score and Ioannis Papapetrou’s jumper tied it at 51-51, but Giedraitis rescued the hosts with a layup and Bryant Dunston added a trademark slam. Nunn’s three-ball kept it close and Brown’s corner three gave the visitors their first lead, 57-59. Dunston’s three-point play plus Sirvydis put-back pulled Zalgiris back ahead, before Yurtseven stayed strong at the rim to make it 65-63 with 10 minutes left.

Sirvydis started the final quarter with his fifth triple, and Zalgiris’s first of the half, before Alen Smailagic and Grant traded three-balls. Walker kept the three-point party going and added a steal and slam for a double-digit lead, 76-66. Nunn’s triple gave Panathinaikos hope, but Sirvydis and Francisco scored a big layup as the scoring otherwise dried up at both ends and Zalgiris kept control the rest of the way.

The Lithuanian side got back to winning ways and caused the visitors' two-game winning streak to come to an end
