Facing off for the first time since January 2024, both teams played at a blistering pace from the opening tip. Momentum swung constantly, but when [Tyler Ennis](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/tyler-ennis/008858/) hit two clutch free throws and [Elijah Bryant](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/elijah-bryant/009846/) came down with a key rebound, the game was decided.

Itoudis put full trust in his roster, with all but two listed players seeing at least 14 minutes of action. His faith paid off as five players reached double figures in scoring, spearheaded by center [Dan Oturu](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/dan-oturu/012788/), who impressed with 18 points, 9 boards and 2 blocks. 

Former Paris player [Collin Malcolm](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/collin-malcolm/012609/) and [Tomer Ginat](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/tomer-ginat/010550/) drained crucial triples, [Antonio Blakeney](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/antonio-blakeney/013402/) packed a punch, while [Vasilije Micic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/vasilije-micic/002580/) set the pace for the road team early on. Itoudis was quick to praise how his bench stepped up and starters sacrificed.

“I would like to congratulate my team,” he said. “We proved that we have a deep roster. The game could have gone either way, but we kept believing in what we were doing. We had to dig, dig, dig deep into the bench. Tyler did a great job, AB did a great job – everybody who came in helped the starters. That is how we build character. Togetherness!”

Hapoel’s team-first mentality was evident throughout. The Israeli team totalled 20 assists through the contest and it played committed, swarming defense, limiting EuroLeague scoring leader [Nadir Hifi](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/nadir-hifi/012640/) for much of the night. Another solid contributor for the victors was [Johnathan Motley](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/johnathan-motley/011157/), who logged 11 points and hustled hard. The center also recognized the strength in depth and importance of personal sacrifice.

“They have a great team – they play hard and play together – so we had to match that intensity,” said Motley. “We've got a lot of players, so we have to sacrifice, help each other and be good when our name is called, I think we’re doing a good job.”

It was a tough loss for Paris, which had taken the lead in the final minute. Hifi exploded in crunch time, and [Momo Faye](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/mouhamed-faye/012403/) made key plays on both ends to keep the hosts in it.

Head coach [Francesco Tabellini](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/paris-basketball/prs/tabellini-francesco/) trusts that his team can regroup, despite the gut-wrenching loss.

“For sure, we could have done something different, but we’ll watch the game and try to get better,” Tabellini said. “The game changed when Collin Malcolm made those two threes, and in that moment we missed a couple of good looks. That’s basketball – sometimes it hurts, and we’ll deal with the pain.”

Marching on as one unit, Hapoel has closed out a successful two-game week and will look to move to 5-1 when it faces AS Monaco next Thursday. 

Paris, meanwhile, will aim to bounce back next week when it takes on Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade.

The EuroLeague newcomer is now 4-1 on the season, level with Panathinaikos for the best record in the league

Just a week ago, Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens head coach Ergin Ataman was not a happy man. Fast forward just eight days and Panathinaikos now sits atop the EuroLeague standings with a 4–1 record after earning its third straight win – an 81–95 road victory over Anadolu Efes Istanbul on Friday night.

Just a week ago, [Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/panathinaikos-aktor-athens/pan/) head coach [Ergin Ataman](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/panathinaikos-aktor-athens/pan/ataman-ergin/) was not a happy man.

His team had pulled off [a buzzer-beating win in Vitoria-Gasteiz](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/kendrick-nunn-heroics-break-the-curse-as-panathinaikos-grabs-long-awaited-win-in-vitoria/) thanks to reigning MVP [Kendrick Nunn](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/kendrick-nunn/012774/), but Ataman didn’t hold back in his post-game comments. He called the rest of the team’s performance “terrible”.

“With only one player, we cannot reach any of our goals,” he said at the time.

Fast forward just eight days and Panathinaikos now sits atop the EuroLeague standings with a 4–1 record after earning its third straight win – an 81–95 road victory over [Anadolu Efes Istanbul](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/anadolu-efes-istanbul/ist/) on Friday night.

It looks like the message was received loud and clear.

Efes was hanging in the game until midway through the third quarter, closing within 49-51, and 52-57. But then, Sloukas, who already had double-digit assists, set up Osman’s third three-pointer of the night, which sparked a 0-16 run that opened a 21-point lead and the Greens never looked back as Osman seemed unstoppable, scoring 19 points in the second half.

“I think that’s just the confidence carrying since EuroBasket, really”, Osman pointed out after the win. “I've worked a lot. I know what I'm capable of, but also, thanks to my teammates they were finding me whenever I was open. They trusted me and I was knocking the shots down.”

“We shared the ball very well tonight,” Osman said about team’s 27 assists. “Everybody played great, especially in the second half. We were amazing. And our defense was great. And then, everybody contributed tonight. That was the most important thing. This is a very important win going forward, we need to keep playing the same way.”

“I’d like to congratulate [\[Kostas\] Sloukas](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kostas-sloukas/001926/) because he had a great game with 12 assists. He organized everything,” Ataman told EuroLeague TV after the win at Efes. “And of course, [Cedi \[Osman\]](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/cedi-osman/004088/) had maybe his career game. He played very well.”

And they did it without needing Nunn, who had an off night.

He finished with just 2 points, 4 turnovers, and 3 personal fouls midway through the second quarter. He remained on the bench until midway through the fourth, with Panathinaikos already up by double digits and the result all but sealed.

No Nunn, no problem.

Osman stepped up in a big way against his former club. He poured in a career-high 29 points, hitting a personal-best 6 of 10 from three-point range. Sloukas, meanwhile, orchestrated the offense with 12 assists – just one shy of his career high. The four-time EuroLeague champion was in full command.

Efes kept it close into the third quarter, pulling within 49–51 and later 52–57.

But then Sloukas set up Osman for his third three of the night, sparking a game-changing 0–16 run. Panathinaikos suddenly led by 21, and the Greens never looked back.

Osman was unstoppable in the second half, scoring 19 of his 29 points after the break.

Despite the strong showing, the night was overshadowed by injuries to two Efes big men.

Center [Georgios Papagiannis](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/georgios-papagiannis/005844/) suffered a nasty-looking knee injury in the second quarter and was carted off the floor in a wheelchair. That came shortly after big man [Ercan Osmani](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/ercan-osmani/012710/) exited the game with a shoulder injury just 2 minutes and 32 seconds into the first quarter.

The game quickly turned into a small-ball battle.

“Our guards played better tonight than Efes’s guards,” Ataman pointed out.

“After \[the injuries\], the game started to be strange,” he added. “They started to play with five guards. They only used [Rolands Smits](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/rolands-smits/007109/), and he had a problem on the pick-and-roll defense.”

Sloukas, however, didn’t find it strange at all. He read the floor perfectly and exploited every gap in Efes’s improvised setup.

“Sloukas is very smart – he sees the spacing of a player rolling or a player getting an open shot,” Ataman said. “And we played smart. We moved the ball in the last quarter and kept control of the game.”

It helped Omer Yurtseven score 15 points in the first half, while Richaun Holmes finished with 10. It was a complete team performance as Panathinaikos won its third game in a row.

Partizan prevailed 79-91 on the back of a super-strong finish as it produced a 2-14 run to close out an electrifying contest, with the hosts erasing a 47-63 deficit in the third quarter to set up a grandstand home stretch when they simply ran out of gas.

[Tyrique Jones](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/tyrique-jones/011981/) underlined a smooth team effort with 10 points and 7 rebounds as Partizan sank 10-of-18 three-pointers and racked up 36 boards, 13 of which were on the offensive end. Coach Zeljko Obradovic was pleased with the effort, but for a several-minute barren spell in the third quarter which allowed Baskonia to catch up.

“We played really well but then we got nervous and they came back because they are a team that fights,” Obradovic said in his post-game comments. “We had an excellent momentum in the last three minutes of the game and it was necessary to win it. It’s a very competitive season, anyone can beat anybody, and hence every win is massive.”

Carlik Jones produced his best EuroLeague performance of the season and pulled the strings alongside Washington, whose three-point play followed by a clutch shot from downtown in the closing stages put Partizan out of sight against battling Baskonia.

Jones hailed the collective team effort in which Parker and Washington stood out, as Partizan shared the ball selflessly to generate 19 assists against just 8 turnovers.

“It was a big win for us and I give a lot of credit to my teammates for trusting me and the coach trusted me too,” the livewire point guard said. “It wasn’t just me, a lot of guys stepped up like Jabari (Parker) and Wash (Duane Washington). Baskonia made a run and but we got stops and handled it well.”

Having endured a patchy season last term, Washington served up arguably his most mature EuroLeague performance for Partizan and came up big when the chips were down.  

“We held it together and found some offensive rhythm in the last half of the fourth quarter after they made some tough shots,” he said. “The loss (to Real Madrid) earlier this week made us feel we weren’t playing like ourselves but we got another opportunity today to show who we are. We had a good game plan, we knew what was at stake and how hard they were going to play.”

Baskonia head coach Paolo Galbiati had no complaints. “We competed, we put everything on the floor but it wasn’t enough,” he told the post-game press conference. “We struggled defensively because of their size and they also punished us for missing some open shots.”

“I’m just glad we got the win. A double week, being able to get two in a row means a lot. Just happy our guys got it,” Edwards said after the victory in France. “Hopefully we can keep chipping away at it. We have a long way to go.”

Edwards finished with 12-of-22 shooting from the field, including 5-of-12 from three-point range. He also hit 7-of-8 free throws, adding 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal for a performance index rating (PIR) of 28.

Virtus had been perfect at home with a 2–0 record at the Paladozza in Bologna, but had lost its first two road games. Head coach Dusko Ivanovic acknowledged the importance of this win.

“This is important for the mental part. I have a team of young guys with ambition,” Ivanovic said. “The most important thing – if you win or lose – is to never give up and give 100 percent all the time.”

It was just the second time this season that Virtus reached the 90-point mark. The only other time came in a Round 2 loss at Valencia, 103-94.

The game in Villeurbanne was close through the first three quarters, with neither team able to pull away. The biggest lead at any point was just six points.

Virtus made its move with a 13-0 run spanning the third and fourth quarters. Edwards capped it with a three-pointer to push the lead to 71-64.

ASVEL, led by [Glynn Watson](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/glynn-watson/014013/)’s 24 points, managed to close the gap to within three, but never got closer.

Edwards had an answer every time. He hit two tough layups and another three, then iced the game with three free throws in the final minute to make it 90-81.

The 90-point outing was nine points above Virtus’s average of 81.0, which ranked 18th out of 20 EuroLeague teams. The team also posted a PIR of 96 – well above its previous average of 84.3, which had ranked 19th.

Another strength for Virtus this season has been its defense on the perimeter. Coming into the game, Coach Ivanovic's team was allowing opponents to shoot just 33.6% from deep, fourth-best in the EuroLeague.

ASVEL struggled from long range, hitting only 7-of-29 attempts (24.1%).

“Great week, an amazing week. Especially this win – the first win on the road,” said Virtus guard [Alessandro Pajola](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/alessandro-pajola/006739/), who hit 4 three-pointers and scored 14 points. “We were happy to win a couple at home, but we lost two away. So we’re very happy to complete the week like this.”

Pajola was quick to credit Edwards for leading the charge.

“Carsen had an amazing game. He’s our shooter, our scorer. If he plays like this, we can do a lot of great things,” Pajola said. “A good job by the whole team, but Carsen especially.”

Expectations were high for Edwards after his move from FC Bayern Munich to Virtus. Last season, he led the EuroLeague in scoring with 20.4 points per game and was named to the 2024–25 All-EuroLeague First Team.

The 27-year-old got off to a relatively quiet start this season, averaging 13.3 points over his first three games. That changed with his 24-point performance earlier in the week against Monaco.

Now, with 36 points against ASVEL, he’s set a new personal best, surpassing his previous high of 34 which came against ALBA Berlin in January 2025 while with Bayern.

It was the seventh time in his EuroLeague career that Edwards has scored at least 30 points. His 36-point outing also tied the highest individual scoring mark in the EuroLeague this season, matching [Wade Baldwin’s performance for Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/zalgiris-improves-to-2-0-after-knocking-off-fenerbahce-84-81/) in Round 2.

Before Friday’s clash, Monaco forward [Jaron Blossomgame](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/jaron-blossomgame/011231/) explained in detail what needed to change for the team to get back to winning ways.

“What didn’t work \[on Wednesday\] was that I think we started slowly,” he said. “We didn’t start the game well. We weren’t incisive enough on offense. We showed a side of ourselves that we sometimes show, but it’s not our best side. And we have to avoid that as much as possible. We have a lot of talent on offense, but when we don’t move the ball around enough and it gets stuck sometimes, we’re very limited and we don’t score points.”

Those words clearly resonated in the locker room, as Monaco checked every box with its first-half performance against the Spanish side.

A small tactical tweak by coach Vassilis Spanoulis helped the home team find consistency throughout the opening 20 minutes. There were no more lineup experiments. Spanoulis went with the trusted group that led Monaco to the 2025 EuroLeague Championship Game. The team started strong on both ends of the court, jumping out to a 14–6 lead behind 8 quick points from Strazel.

Valencia answered with a 2–8 run sparked by [Josep Puerto](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/josep-puerto/006643/), who scored 5 early points.

That’s when summer signing [Nikola Mirotic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/nikola-mirotic/000796/) entered the game off the bench – the first time this season he hasn't started – and gave Monaco’s second unit a boost. He brought balance and consistency, scoring 5 straight points and helping Monaco take a 27–22 lead after the first quarter.

Mirotic became the first player to reach double digits after hitting a corner three, capping off an 8–0 Monaco run to start the second quarter.

After scoring just 34 points in the first half against Virtus, Monaco dropped 57 on Valencia – tying the club’s record for most points in a first half. Coach Spanoulis's men shared the ball well, recording 12 assists, just five fewer than their total in Bologna, and shot 20 of 30 from the field in the first half alone.

“It was a good game for us,” Spanoulis said at the post-game press conference. “We responded after a not \[that\] good game at Virtus. Especially in the first half, we played maybe our best game.”

Valencia coach Pedro Martinez, who was coaching his 200th game for the club, admitted that Monaco’s strong start left his team no room to breathe before halftime.

“It was a very good first half for them,” he said. “They played with a good intensity, beating us in a lot of one-on-one situations, making a lot of easy baskets.”

Valencia didn’t back down and managed to outscore Monaco in each of the final two quarters (14–25, 19–22). But the hosts had the experience to close it out, with Diallo stepping up late.

The Monaco forward delivered 7 points and 2 rebounds in the final six minutes, making plays on both ends. He shot 6 for 8 from inside the arc and finished with a season-high 16 points, along with 5 rebounds.

After scoring 90 points against Valencia, Monaco can now move past its poor offensive showing at Virtus. And if they use that first-half performance against *Las Taronjas* as a model for the rest of the season, they’ll have every reason to dream big again.

Even more impressive? Zvezda did it without six players who are sidelined due to injury: Devonte' Graham, Tyson Carter, Uros Plavsic, Isaiah Canaan, Ognjen Dobric and Joel Bolomboy.

After [taking down previously unbeaten Zalgiris Kaunas 88-79](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/sweet-homecoming-for-sasa-obradovic-as-crvena-zvezda-hits-top-gear-to-break-zalgiris-jinx/), Zvezda went on to dominate [Real Madrid](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/real-madrid/mad/) 90-75 in front of an electric home crowd. The win broke a six-game losing streak against Real and stands as Zvezda’s largest-ever victory over the Spanish giants in the modern EuroLeague.

Prior to this, Zvezda’s best result against Real was an 82-70 home win back in December 2016. All four of their other victories in 19 meetings had been by single digits. So, what exactly did Obradovic change?

"The rule is there is no rule. For me, it was much more important the way we played the game," Obradovic said. "And it was amazing, especially on the defensive. We stopped them completely in some moments, and I'm really happy for this."

Obradovic didn’t have time to overhaul tactics but focused instead on clearly defining roles. It’s now obvious that [Jordan Nwora](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/jordan-nwora/013363/), [Chima Moneke](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/chima-moneke/012201/) and [Codi Miller-McIntyre](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/codi-miller-mcintyre/009048/) are running the show, while [Nikola Kalinic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/nikola-kalinic/004866/), [Donatas Motiejunas](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/donatas-motiejunas/lcz/) and [Semi Ojeleye](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/semi-ojeleye/011982/) provide key veteran support. With everyone understanding their job, the chemistry has clicked.

Still, Zvezda had a rough start. Real jumped to a double-digit lead, 20-31, early in the second quarter. But Moneke, Kalinic and Miller-McIntyre sparked a 13–2 run to tie it at 33-33. Once the crowd got involved, the hosts became unstoppable.

Moneke opened the second half with a three-pointer and a driving layup. Nwora and Miller-McIntyre extended the lead to double digits, and when [Dejan Davidovac](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/dejan-davidovac/007960/) hit a one-legged catch-and-shoot triple to beat the shot clock, the crowd knew they were in for something special.

Miller-McIntyre controlled the game’s tempo, feeding Moneke for a monster fast-break slam and connecting with Nwora for a highlight-reel alley-oop. Zvezda’s defense got Real star [Walter Tavares](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/walter-tavares/005791/) into foul trouble and held Real to just 1-of-14 shooting from deep (7.1% 3FG) in the second half.

When it was all over, the stats said it best. Miller-McIntyre had 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. Real’s main guards – [Facu Campazzo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/facundo-campazzo/005928/) and [Andres Feliz](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/andres-feliz/011247/) – combined for just 5 points and 3 assists, highlighting the impact of “The Wolf”.

Nwora also scored 18 points, while Moneke added 15 and 7 rebounds.

“We just have to fight. Every night we come out, we have to give our all on defense, and that's what we did tonight,” said Miller-McIntyre.

As for the fans, Miller-McIntyre added: “They are always loud, but tonight I had the impression they were super, super loud. They are amazing. I've said it before – one of the best fanbases in the world, if not *the* best. So thank you to all the fans who continue to support us and came out tonight.”

Kalinic also made his mark with 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, good for a PIR of 20. Meanwhile, Ojeleye – who had averaged just 1.0 points and a PIR of 1.3 in Zvezda’s first three games – has thrived since Obradovic’s arrival. He’s now averaging 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and a PIR of 13.0.

"Maybe some period of adaptation has passed, so we are connecting better. We know who likes what, who likes which positions," Kalinic said.

"It was a great game. I think we are playing good right now. We are helping each other, we are supporting each other. And that's the most important. We are covering each other's mistakes. That's basketball."

More than anything, Obradovic has brought Zvezda the confidence it needed. The team already had top-tier talent and one of the most passionate fanbases in the world. Now, with renewed self-belief, it looks ready to beat anyone, anywhere.

“It's a long season, but here, momentum is on our side, definitely,” Obradovic said.

Crvena Zvezda grabbed its second consecutive victory under new head coach Sasa Obradovic – and third in a row overall – by topping Real Madrid 90-75 in front of an outstanding sellout crowd in the Serbian capital in Round 5 on Friday. Both teams now have a 3-2 record in the standings. 

Codi Miller-McIntyre and Jordan Nwora paced the winners with 18 points apiece. Miller-McIntyre added 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Chima Moneke added 15 points, Semi Ojeleye had 13 while Nikola Kalinic got 10. Chuma Okeke led Real with 16 points while Mario Hezonja added 15. Real led 20-31 early in the second quarter but Zvezda used a 13-2 run to return to the game and get a 43-39 lead at the break. The hosts boosted their margin to 67-53 at the end of the third quarter and cruised to a well-deserved victory.

Cedi Osman shined for the Greens with a career-high 29 points on a career-best 6-of-10 three-point shooting. Omer Yurtseven scored all 15 of his points in the first half while Kostas Sloukas orchestrated the offense with 12 assists. Shane Larkin had 18 points for Efes and PJ Dozier scored 15 in a losing effort.

ASVEL could not knot the game again and Carsen Edwards ended any doubts with three free throws with 50 seconds left for a career-high 36 points.

Alessandro Pajola added 14 points with 4 three-pointers, Alen Smailagic chipped in 13 points and Karim Jallow had 10 points and 7 rebounds for Virtus, which beat Monaco on Wednesday and has now improved to 3-2. ASVEL has now dropped three in a row for a 1-4 record despite Glynn Watson scoring 24 points.

The teams swapped leads throughout, but ultimately Hapoel worked as a team to get the job done. 

Dan Oturu added 9 boards and 1 assist to an 18-point scoring performance, leading the way for his team. Meanwhile, Bryant, Johnathan Motley, Antonio Blakeney and Vasilije Micic finished in double figures. The result was hard luck on Nadir Hifi, who put in a clutch performance down the stretch, but it simply wasn’t to be. The win for Hapoel moved Dimitris Itoudis's men to 4-1 in EuroLeague while Paris fell to 3-2.

Partizan made a bright start and took an early 2-8 lead before the hosts beefed up their defense and hit back with their own 8-0 streak, nosing ahead 16-13 but the visitors had the last laugh in the first quarter as they closed it out with a 20-22 advantage. The lead kept changing hands in a see-saw first half as Baskonia scored a barrage of close-range points while Partizan was prolific from downtown, hitting 7 of 11 in the first half to lead 40-48 at the interval on the back of 9 offensive boards. Galvanized by a monstrous Tyrique Jones dunk, Partizan pulled away into a 47-63 lead midway through the third quarter but a pair of three-pointers from Clement Frisch allowed Baskonia to slash the deficit to 64-66 ahead of the final 10 minutes. It was a tit-for-tat battle in the fourth quarter and Partizan then prevailed in a fast-paced finish to grind out its first road win of the season.

Dubai grabbed its second win of the week by downing Barcelona, 83-78. The host took a double-digit first quarter lead behind Mfiondu Kabengele and Filip Petrusev, but Barca gradually fought back to go ahead after consecutive slams by Toko Shengelia, and a pair of Joel Parra three-balls helped make it 33-34 at the break. Petrusev’s personal 7-0 run kept Dubai close in the third quarter, which ended with several lead changes before Dwayne Bacon sent the host ahead, 58-56. A flurry of triples gave Dubai a 71-63 lead midway through the fourth, and Barca’s misfiring offense could not get ahead again.

Petrusev topped the scoring with 23 points and also added 8 rebounds, while Kabengele had a double-double of 10 points and 13 boards. Bacon added 20 points and backcourt teammate McKinley Wright IV netted 11 points with 6 assists. Barca was held to its lowest points total of the season as only two players scored in double digits, with Shengelia joined by Dario Brizuela on 19 points. Both teams are now tied near the top of the standings with a 3-2 record.

Bayern made a brighter start and took a 14-20 lead at the end of the first quarter as the home side looked completely disjointed. Fenerbahce turned the tide with a 20-7 run in the second with Wilbekin coming to the fore from long range, and the hosts then held on for a 37-32 advantage at halftime. Fenerbahce moved up a gear after the break and led 62-46 ahead of the final 10 minutes, with Hall sinking 5 successive points early in the third quarter to give the hosts some breathing space. The writing was on the wall for the visitors after Baldwin and Wilbekin sank successive threes at the start of the fourth quarter, and Fenerbahce was in cruise control for the rest of the contest.

Vezenkov finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Reds while center Nikola Milutinov also scored 23 and Tyler Dorsey tallied 18 points and 5 assists. Jeff Dowtin Jr. led Maccabi with a personal-best 24 points and Walker netted 15 in defeat.

Forrest suffered a muscle injury to the hamstring in his left leg, while Howard sustained a joint injury to a finger on his left hand. The club confirmed the diagnoses upon returning to Vitoria-Gasteiz and announced that both players will miss the upcoming Round 5 game against Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade. 

Their recovery progress will determine their return timeline. Howard is averaging 7.0 points per game this season. Forrest has been a standout performer in the EuroLeague, posting 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists and a PIR of 17.8 across four games, in addition to shooting 94.1% from the free-throw line.
