The fourth grouping of All-25 EuroLeague Team members is now official with [Mike Batiste](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/mike-batiste/ajv/), [Bogdan Bogdanovic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/bogdan-bogdanovic/002821/), [Kyle Hines](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kyle-hines/002812/), [Juan Carlos Navarro](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/juan-carlos-navarro/adi/) and [Theo Papaloukas](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/theodoros-papaloukas/atw/) taking center stage. These all-time greats join the previously honored Luka Doncic, Milos Teodosic, Dejan Bodiroga, Georgios Printezis, Walter Tavares, Dimitris Diamantidis, Mike James, Vasilije Micic, Anthony Parker, Sergio Rodriguez, Nando De Colo, Sergio Llull, Ramunas Siskauskas, Vassilis Spanoulis and Nikola Vujcic. Only five spots remain on the All-25 EuroLeague Team and they will be announced next week.

The selection process for the All-25 EuroLeague Team combined the votes of EuroLeague head coaches who had won a championship, past All-Decade Team members and MVPs, media representatives and fans. The coaches and playing greats each made up 40% of the final vote, and the media and fans were 10% each.

 

### Mike Batiste

[Mike Batiste](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/mike-batiste/ajv/) is synonymous with Panathinaikos's glory days in the late 2000s. Having made his EuroLeague debut with Spirou Charleroi in the 2000-01 season, coach Zeljko Obradovic recruited him to Panathinaikos two years later. He became a staple of the Greens' frontcourt for the best part of the next nine seasons, helping Panathinaikos reach another golden age. Batiste’s partnership with playmaker Dimitris Diamantidis remains unmatched, as the American won three EuroLeague titles with Panathinaikos.

In 2007, he had 12 points in the championship game against CSKA Moscow, including a key basket in the final minute. In 2009, Batiste had 19 points in 21 minutes in the semifinal against archrival Olympiacos Piraeus, paving the way to another shot at the title. In 2011, Batiste led Panathinaikos to its sixth star, getting 18 points and 6 rebounds in the championship game against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Batiste was chosen to the 2010-11 All-EuroLeague First Team and the 2011-12 All-EuroLeague Second Team. After a year with Fenerbahce Istanbul, Batiste returned to Athens for a 10th and final campaign with Panathinaikos, where he remains one of the biggest legends in club history.

### Bogdan Bogdanovic

One of the best shooters in competition history, [Bogdan Bogdanovic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/bogdan-bogdanovic/002821/) needed just five seasons to write his name into legend. He made his EuroLeague debut with Partizan Belgrade in the 2012-13 season and one year later was named the 2013-14 EuroLeague Rising Star after averaging 14.8 points per game. Bogdanovic then joined Fenerbahce Istanbul to play under Coach Zeljko Obradovic. In 2015, he helped Fenerbahce reach the Final Four for the first time in club history. Bogdanovic added a second consecutive Rising Star Trophy in 2015, something only two other players have achieved in EuroLeague history: Nikola Mirotic and, later, Luka Doncic.

One year after a championship game defeat to CSKA Moscow, Bogdanovic shined in Games 1 and 2 of the 2017 playoffs against Panathinaikos Athens in the Greek capital, getting a 35 PIR in each contest. At the Final Four, he had 14 points in the semifinal against Real Madrid and 17 in the title decider – again against CSKA – to help Fenerbahce lift its first EuroLeague trophy. Bogdanovic was chosen to the 2016-17 All-EuroLeague First Team and to the 2010-20 EuroLeague All-Decade Team.

### Kyle Hines

Having helped change the way EuroLeague fans view size in the paint and open the doors for undersized big men, [Kyle Hines](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kyle-hines/002812/) has left a huge mark on Europe’s elite basketball competition. Officially listed at 1.98 meters, Hines is a center who won four EuroLeague championships, matching the record in the Final Four era. He holds another record by appearing in nine consecutive Final Fours.

A member of the EuroLeague 2010–20 All-Decade Team, Hines was renowned for his play on the defensive end of the floor as a three-time EuroLeague Best Defender (2016, 2018, 2022). He played for four clubs across a 14-season stretch in the EuroLeague, starting with Brose Bamberg in 2010-11, followed by championship-winning seasons at Olympiacos Piraeus in 2012 and 2013. He continued at CSKA Moscow, where in seven campaigns between 2013 and 2020 he lifted the EuroLeague trophy in 2016 and 2019. Hines finished his career in 2024 after four years with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, finally accumulating 425 appearances, 3,339 points, 1,855 rebounds, 510 assists, 287 steals and 320 blocks.

### Juan Carlos Navarro 

One of the most iconic figures in the history of the competition, [Juan Carlos Navarro](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/juan-carlos-navarro/adi/)'s illustrious career with FC Barcelona saw him win EuroLeague championships in 2003 and 2010 and the EuroLeague MVP award in 2009. A deadly shooter with a signature one-legged floater dubbed “La Bomba”, Navarro revolutionized the European guard position with his scoring prowess and leadership.

When he retired in 2018, Navarro was the EuroLeague's career leader in scoring and three-pointers made. In his 17 EuroLeague seasons – all with Barcelona – Navarro was named to the All-EuroLeague First Team a record five times and he earned two Second Team nods, too. He led the league in scoring in the 2006-07 season and Navarro's trophy case also includes the 2010 Final Four MVP and three MVP of the Month honors. One of only two players to have earned a spot on both the 2000-10 and the 2010-20 EuroLeague All-Decade Teams, Navarro's clutch performances and longevity made him a club legend and a symbol of EuroLeague excellence.

### Theo Papaloukas

[Theo Papaloukas](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/theodoros-papaloukas/atw/)'s presence forever impacted European basketball as he introduced the concept of game-changing sixth-men. The clever playmaker started in only 20 of his 252 appearances in the EuroLeague, however, that did not stop him from earning EuroLeague MVP honors in the 2006-07 season, nor leading CSKA Moscow to EuroLeague championships in 2006 and 2008.

Papaloukas was the Final Four MVP in the first of those two, which memorably ended CSKA’s 35-year title drought. And as much as he has cemented his status as a legend in Moscow, where he spent a total of seven seasons, Papaloukas is even more so a legend with Olympiacos Piraeus, the club where he made his EuroLeague debut and later led to Final Four appearances in 2009 and 2010. A member of the EuroLeague 2000-2010 All-Decade Team, Papaloukas was also selected to All-EuroLeague teams in three of his 12 seasons in the competition and he twice led the EuroLeague in assists.

EuroLeague 25 Moments: Maccabi and its magical run to the 2014 title

The city of Milan will always bring back fond memories for fans of [Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/maccabi-playtika-tel-aviv/tel/).

In 2014, David Blatt's Maccabi made it to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four having beaten EA7 Emporio Armani Milan 3-1 in the playoffs. Now, they would return to the Italian city for a semifinal clash against Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow.

What transpired was one of the most epic games in EuroLeague history. After being down by 15 points, Maccabi roared back to win 67-68 after [Tyrese Rice](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/tyrese-rice/003367/)'s tough layup with five seconds remaining in regulation, a victory that set up a meeting with Real Madrid in the championship game.

Real Madrid was the overwhelming favorite after beating FC Barcelona by 38 points in the semifinals, yet Maccabi had a chance to win in overtime, only for Rice's three-pointer to be off the mark. Then, in overtime, Maccabi stepped up to come away with an 86-94 victory, the club's sixth EuroLeague title to date.

Baldwin, playing in his rookie Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season, has made 25 appearances for Baskonia so far, posting 7.1 points, 1.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 0.9 steals, but he now faces a spell on the sidelines.

"Baskonia's playmaker has suffered a fracture in the first phalanx of his right hand and will have to undergo surgery," read Baskonia's statement on Monday.

"The medical tests performed to Kamar Baldwin in recent hours by the club's medical services, after suffering a collision in this past Sunday's game against Real Madrid, confirm an unstable fracture in the first phalanx of his right hand, which requires surgical treatment for stabilization.

"Baldwin will undergo surgery and the evolution after the operation will mark his return to the team's dynamic."

It is arguably the closest race for the EuroLeague Playoffs and Play-In Showdown ever. If you look at the standings, AS Monaco ranks fourth with a 17-12 record, and Real Madrid is 12th at 15-14. That's right, there is a two-win gap between having the home-court advantage in the playoffs or being eliminated.

There is an early game in this round as Paris hosts Milan on Tuesday. Having a star player in all three turns should help you get a good score. My T1 choice is [Shavon Shields](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/shavon-shields/007831/), who had a PIR of 29 against Paris earlier this season. Shields comes off a good game against Zvezda: 14 points, 5 rebounds and a PIR of 22. A safe choice early in the week!

### Kevin Punter, FC Barcelona (14.9 credits)

After missing two games due to injury, [Kevin Punter](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/kevin-punter/009862/) returned to action against Partizan, his former team, and had a great performance. He finished the game with 25 points, missing only four shots, and adding 4 assists, 1 steal and 7 fouls drawn for a PIR of 29. Barca is now sixth in the standings and has two more home games coming up.

### Shane Larkin, Anadolu Efes Istanbul (14.6 credits)

"We are basically in playoff mode right now," [Shane Larkin](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/shane-larkin/007200/) said after this team's win against Bayern. He proved that with a huge performance: Larkin had 25 points on 4-of-6 two-pointers, 4-of-8 three-pointers and 5-of-5 free throws, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 5 fouls drawn and a PIR of 33. Expect him to keep leading Efes, as he always has.

It took Bayern some time to figure it out but without injured big man Devin Booker, [Johannes Voigtmann](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/johannes-voigtmann/007201/) is his team's new go-to man in the frontcourt. He has had a double-digit PIR in the last six games and stood out against Efes last week, getting 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and a PIR of 25. At just 10.1 credits, Voigtmann is a bargain.

### Roman Sorkin, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv (10.9 credits)

[Roman Sorkin](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/roman-sorkin/011219/) is seeing extended playing time at center as Jasiel Rivero is set to miss some time. He has posted a PIR of 12 or higher in each of his team's last six games. In Maccabi's last three showdowns, Sorkin averaged 18.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.7 fouls drawn and a PIR of 18.7. Maccabi is on a three-game winning streak, too.

Moustapha Fall showed in derby why his impact on Olympiacos is so profound

[Olympiacos Piraeus](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/olympiacos-piraeus/oly/)’s first play of the night against [Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/panathinaikos-aktor-athens/pan/) was not drawn for [Sasha Vezenkov](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/sasha-vezenkov/003469/) nor [Evan Fournier](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/evan-fournier/013380/), the team's two leading scorers. [Moustapha Fall](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/moustapha-fall/008811/) won the tipoff, [Nigel Williams-Goss](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/nigel-williams-goss/007982/) received the ball and Olympiacos’s motion offense was triggered, with [Kostas Papanikolaou](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kostas-papanikolaou/001255/) finding Fall in the paint.

What could have been a signature slam for the Olympiacos big turned into a statement block by his Panathinaikos counterpart, [Wenyen Gabriel](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/wenyen-gabriel/013383/), with possession shifting to the visitors. Yet, what could have been a blow in morale for many bigs, served as a motivation boost for Fall, who pulled off a complete performance, inspiring his Reds to [a 76-74 victory](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/olympiacos-holds-off-panathinaikos-to-claim-the-greek-derby-76-74/) at Peace and Friendship Stadium on Friday night.

Gabriel denies Fall on opening possession of derby

There are not many Turkish Airlines EuroLeague centers who can reach that level of impact Fall has on Olympiacos’s game. [Mathias Lessort](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/mathias-lessort/003842/) might be one of them, but the Panathinaikos star missed out on the derby due to long-term injury.

And Fall made the most of his compatriot’s absence by dominating the paint no matter whom he was called to face inside. The Frenchman was crucial in Olympiacos’s efforts to pack the paint, helping to seal all lanes that could have been used for Panathinaikos’s guards to penetrate.

The visitors had a backcourt advantage due to the absence of [Thomas Walkup](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/thomas-walkup/008855/), but Fall made sure to cover for his teammate on defense. Fall was one of the main reasons why [Kendrick Nunn](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kendrick-nunn/012774/) didn’t score a single point in the first half, blocking the MVP candidate’s way to the basket and forcing him off the paint.

Moustapha Fall did it all in the derby

Numbers sometimes speak by themselves, but in Fall’s case, they are rarely enough to demonstrate why he is so crucial for Olympiacos. This time, though, they tell the whole truth. Fall shot 5-for-7 from inside, including a big basket to make it 76-69 with 1:17 left on the clock. He finished the game with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. More importantly, he recorded a season-high 4 blocks, 2 of which came in the first quarter, sending a clear message to whoever tried to attack the basket on Friday night.

“I’m happy when I can help my team get the win, especially against Panathinaikos,” Fall told EuroLeague TV after the game.

An injury that sidelined Fall for several months saw him miss last season’s Greek finals, as well as the first game of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season. Rediscovering his form after recovering from a serious injury is anything but an easy task for a 33-year-old 7-footer. Yet, Fall is gradually finding his footing and Friday’s display may well be a sign that he’s doing so at the best possible moment – just before the playoffs.

With five games to go, Olympiacos has mathematically sealed a top-six spot and it’s pushing to clinch home-court advantage. “We’ve secured our spot in the EuroLeague \[Playoffs\], so we’re happy about this,” Fall added.

Boasting a 22-7 record, the league leader will look to clinch the top spot in the standings for the second time over the last three seasons. And should Fall find consistency ahead of the postseason, Olympiacos will be a clear favorite to seal Final Four qualification for a team-record fourth time in a row.

Fall’s impact on this Olympiacos team is undeniable. And Friday’s display against the reigning champion came to prove why.

Larkin led Efes to a 92-97 road victory over FC Bayern Munich with a season-high 25 points on 4-of-6 two-pointers, 4-of-8 three-pointers and 5-of-5 free throws. He added 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 5 fouls drawn for a PIR of 33, the best index rating this season. Larkin earned MVP of the Round honors for the first time this season and the 18th time in his career, an all-time record.

 

[Kevin Punter](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kevin-punter/009862/) of FC Barcelona amassed a PIR of 29 on his return from injury as his team beat Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade 87-80. Punter finished the game with 25 points on 2-of-2 two-pointers, 5-of-9 three-pointers and 6-of-6 free throws, as well as 4 assists, 1 steal and 7 fouls drawn. [Nando De Colo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/nando-de-colo/002100/) of LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne reached a PIR of 27 against one of his former teams, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul. He had 13 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 steal and 4 fouls drawn.
