EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge: 2023-24 season winners

Congratulations to Marko Djukic of Serbia on winning the 2024-25 [EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge](https://euroleaguefantasy.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/home)! [Zalgiris Kaunas](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/zalgiris-kaunas/zal/?season=2024-25) has a new big man in the paint after signing a one-year deal with center [Moses Wright](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/moses-wright/012878/), the club announced on Monday. Wright (2.07 meters, 26 years old) spent last season and a half with Olympiacos, having joined the club as a mid-season addition in 2023-24 campaign.

Last season, Wright appeared to have his season ended in November due to a medical condition, but he made a full recovery and was able to help Olympiacos in the last four rounds of the regular season, as well as in the playoffs and the Final Four.

Wright finished his campaign with 5.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 13 minutes on the floor in the EuroLeague, and also had 11.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in seven Greek League appearances before his health issue appeared.

Before joining Olympiacos in January 2024, Wright only played one month of basketball on the European continent, with five appearances for Turkish club Merkezefendi.

He began his professional career in 2021, having starred during his four years at Georgia Tech. He spent the 2021-22 campaign bouncing between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA, where he combined for four appearances. That season, he spent most of his time with their respective G League affiliates, the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario and the Texas Legends.

Wright spent the 2022-23 season with Zhejiang in China, and also started the 2023-24 campaign with Shanxi in the Chinese League.

Ojeleye (1.98 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Valencia Basket, where he spent the last two years.

Last season, he helped Valencia reach the BKT EuroCup Semifinals with 11.4 points on 42.7% three-point shooting, along with 3.5 rebounds per game. In the Spanish League, where the team reached the playoff finals, Ojeleye had 10.5 points and 2.9 rebounds.

The last time Ojeleye played in the EuroLeague, the 2023-24 campaign with Valencia, he was team's top performer with 13.3 points and 4.4 rebounds. He ranked eighth in the league in three-point accuracy at 47.1% and was 17th in scoring. 

That was his second season in the EuroLeague after Ojeleye debuted with Virtus Bologna the year before.

Before entering the EuroLeague, Ojeleye played five seasons in the NBA with the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers. He helped Boston reach the conference finals in both 2018 and 2020. Ojeleye played college basketball at Duke and Southern Methodist University. He was the American Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2017 when he led SMU to win the conference tournament. He helped Virtus reach the Italian League and the Italian Cup finals in his lone season there.

Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion [Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/fenerbahce-beko-istanbul/ulk/?season=2024-25) and veteran guard [Scottie Wilbekin](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/scottie-wilbekin/006661/) will remain together after signing a new multi-year deal. The contract is for one season with an option for a second. Wilbekin (1.88 meters, 32 years old) comes off his third season with the club, though he missed nearly the entirety of the 2024-25 campaign after suffering a torn ACL on opening night.

A lot of good times ahead for a young Scottie Wilbekin.

Expected to be back early next season, Wilbekin will resume his climb up the all-time EuroLeague shooting charts. He is fifth in career three-pointers made with 608 and needs 1 more to catch Sergio Rodriguez for fourth place. Serio Llull is the all-time leader with 686. Wilbekin ranks 15th in career steals with 282, 18th in career scoring with 3,179 points and is 25th with 802 assists.

A native of Florida, Wilbekin played college basketball for the Florida Gators and then began his professional career in Australia with Cairns Taipans in 2014. He also played for AEK Athens in Greece before first coming to Turkiye with Darussafaka Istanbul, with which he made his EuroLeague debut and won the EuroCup in 2018, when he was also crowned EuroCup MVP. Then came four years with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv before his move to Fenerbahce. Wilbekin has also played for the Turkish national team.

Monaco signs high-flyer Kevarrius Hayes

AS Monaco announced its first offseason signing on Monday morning, signing center [Kevarrius Hayes](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kevarrius-hayes/010390/) to a two-year deal. 

Hayes (2.06 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Paris Basketball, where he helped the team reach historic heights last season. Hayes started every single one of Paris's 38 games in the EuroLeague, averaging 6.5 points and 4.6 rebounds, as Paris reached the playoffs in its debut season in the competition. Hayes also helped the team win the French League and Cup double, with the league championship marking the first in club history.

The big man is a four-year EuroLeague veteran with 129 appearances under his belt. Before his one-year stint with Paris, Hayes spent the previous two seasons with Zalgiris Kaunas. He made his EuroLeague debut with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne during the 2020-21 season.

Hayes is now set to become the first player in EuroLeague history to play for the three current French League teams playing in the competition - ASVEL, Paris and now Monaco.

Hayes made his professional basketball debut in 2019 with Cantu in Italy after playing college basketball at the University of Florida. He has also played for Frutti Extra Bursaspor, which he helped on its Cinderella run to the EuroCup Championship Game in 2022. He was among the EuroCup’s top 10 in rebounds (seventh), steals (fifth) and blocks (third) that season.

He helped ASVEL to the French League and Cup double in 2021. Hayes has also won the 2023 Lithuanian League, and a pair of Lithuanian Cup titles, too.

The sides agreed on a one year deal with an option for another season. 

Izundu (2.08 meters, 29 years old), who celebrated his birthday over the weekend, spent last season with Galatasaray Istanbul. He posted 9.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League, and 10.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in Turkish League action.

A native of Nigeria, Izundu returns to Belgrade, where he was previously on Zvezda's radar when he was playing for the local side FMP. He spent two and a half seasons there, before going on a one-year stint with Oldenburg in Germany and then Galatasaray.

He is the second signing for Zvezda this offseason, after the club brought big man [Chima Moneke](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/chima-moneke/012201/) on a [two-year deal](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/crvena-zvezda-nets-chima-moneke/) last week.

Izundu played collegiate basketball at the University of Miami for four years and then made his professional debut in 2019 with Betis Sevilla in Spain. He played half a season with Strasbourg in France, before joining FMP in January 2021.

Odiase (2.06 meters, 29 years old) comes off a strong season with Turkish side Bahcesehir College Istanbul. He averaged 12.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 22 EuroCup games last season as he helped the club reach the EuroCup Semifinals. Odiase ranked 15th in the EuroCup and sixth among centers in PIR with 15.5 per game. It was Odiase's third straight EuroCup campaign after playing for Germani Brescia in 2022-23 and for Prometey Slobozhanske the following season.

Best of Tai Odiase: 2024-25

The big man made a name for himself during a standout college basketball career at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he was twice chosen as the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year. Odiase started his professional career with GS Lavrio Aegean Cargo in Greece and has also played for Metropolitanos de Mauricio Baez in the Dominican Republic, the Greensboro Swarm in the G League, EWE Baskets Oldenburg of Germany, Piratas de Quebradillas in Puerto Rico, Brescia and Prometey. His trophy case includes winning the Italian Cup in 2023 with Brescia and the  Latvian-Estonian League in 2024 with Prometey.

Andjusic (1.95 meters, 34 years old) has six years of EuroLeague experience under his belt, including four with Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade. He averaged 5.0 points on 40% three-point shooting over 28 EuroLeague games for Partizan two seasons ago. Last season Andjusic was worth 11.0 points on 36.4% shooting from downtown with Dubai in the Adriatic League.

Andjusic started his professional basketball career with Hemofarm Vrsac and has also played for Virtus Bologna in Italy, Baloncesto Valladolid and Bilbao Basket in Spain, Anwil Wloclawek in Poland, Parma Perm and UNICS Kazan in Russia, Igokea Aleksandrovac in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and French clubs JL Bourg en Bresse and AS Monaco. Andjusic helped Partizan win the Serbian League and Cup double in 2012 and also lifted the Bosnian Cup with Igokea in 2019. He has been a member of the Serbian national tea, too.

Maccabi brings T.J. Leaf back to his roots

Leaf (2.08 meters, 28 years old) returns to Tel Aviv, where he was born when his father, Brad Leaf, played for Maccabi in the late 1990s. Brad Leaf spent a total of 16 seasons as a player in Israel, mostly with Hapoel Galil Elyon, and was a teammate of Maccabi head coach Oded Kattash. T.J. played for the Israeli national team at the U18 European championships in 2015 and was a teammate of his new Maccabi teammate, Tamir Blatt.

"Being able to play for such a historic club in a place that means so much to me is a dream come true," shared Leaf in his first statement as a Maccabi player. "I would like to thank the coaching staff and all the front office and management for this opportunity. Can’t wait until I have a chance to play in front of the amazing Maccabi fans. Let’s get to work."

Leaf has spent the past four seasons playing in China with the Guangzhou Loong Lions, Beijing Ducks and Nanjing Monkey Kings. Last season he averaged 22.1 points, 12.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.6 blocks in 42 games for Nanjing.

Leaf played his lone season of college basketball at UCLA. He was a member of the PAC-10 All-Freshman team in 2017 after averaging 16.3 points and 8.2 rebounds over 35 games. The Indiana Pacers selected Leaf in the first round of the NBA Draft and he would go on to play three seasons there and another with the Portland Trail Blazers before heading to China.

"Signing T.J. Leaf was one of our goals," Maccabi's general manager, Claudio Coldebella, said. "For years, the club tried to bring T.J. to Tel Aviv and we are thrilled that he will join us soon. It's a great addition to our team as we will strengthen our Israeli core as part of our philosophy. He has a lot of experience from the NBA and abroad, a talented player with lots of motivation to prove himself in the highest level of Europe."
