A career night in a thrilling double-overtime win has seen LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne big man Bastien Vautier secure MVP honors for Round 18 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague season.
Vautier’s career-high 31 PIR was more than double his previous-best mark (14 PIR in Round 1), and it came after netting a career-high 28 points, the most of any ASVEL player in a game this season, in a 103-99 double-overtime triumph against Anadolu Efes Istanbul. He reached those 28 points after shooting 10 for 13 on two-pointers and 8 for 12 from the free-throw line. Vautier, in his rookie EuroLeague season, also had 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 8 fouls drawn.
The highest PIR in this round belonged to Real Madrid’s Facundo Campazzo, who had a season-high 41 PIR in his team’s 100-95 defeat at AS Monaco. Campazzo had 24 of his 28 points in the second half, including 14 in the final 99 seconds of the game, as he made 3-of-5 two-pointers, 6-of-7 three-pointers and 4-of-4 free throws. The Argentine also posted 5 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals and 6 fouls drawn.
Dubai Basketball’s McKinley Wright and Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade’s Chima Moneke both had the third-best index rating in Round 18 with a PIR of 30. Wright finished with 19 points on 5-of-8 two-pointers and 9-of-10 free throws, 4 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals and 8 fouls drawn as Dubai beat EA7 Emporio Armani Milan 99-92. Moneke, meanwhile, amassed 17 points on 5-of-6 two-pointers, 1-of-2 triples and 4-of-4 free throws, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 4 fouls drawn in Crvena Zvezda’s 102-92 loss at Paris Basketball.
Rounding out the list of top performers in Round 18 is Crvena Zvezda’s Jared Butler, who poured in a career-high 31 points – including 22 in the fourth quarter, the second most in a quarter in EuroLeague history – after making 4-of-8 two-pointers, 6-of-8 three-pointers and 5-of-5 free throws in his team’s defeat to Paris. He also had 1 rebound, 4 assists, 2 steals and 5 fouls drawn.
Individual highs: Jared Butler, Crvena Zvezda, 31 points
Zvezda’s Jared Butler led all players in Round 18 with 31 points. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot of Kosner Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz is the league scoring leader with 19.7 points per game.
Walter Tavares of Real Madrid collected 11 rebounds, more than any other player this week. Chima Moneke is the new rebounding leader with 7.6 rebounds per game.
Campazzo and Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens guard TJ Shorts each dished 10 assists, the most this round. McKinley Wright is the new league leader, averaging 7.0 assists.
ASVEL’s Mbaye Ndiaye had 4 steals, the best in Round 18. Alpha Diallo of AS Monaco tops the steals charts with 1.7 per game.
Ndiaye also led all players in this round with 3 blocks. Tavares is the league’s best shot blocker, averaging 1.9 blocks.
