Olympiacos Piraeus led from start to finish in getting back to winning ways, downing a depleted Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade 87-58 on Thursday night at Peace and Friendship Stadium. Olympiacos used an 11-0 run that bridged the third and fourth quarters to open a double-digit lead and then a 16-0 run to break the game open. Olympiacos held the visitors to just 4 points in the fourth quarter as it improved to 5-2 in the standings with its second home win of the season. Meanwhile, Partizan had a three-game winning streak snapped, its record dropping to 3-4.

Kostas Sloukas paced the winners with 17 points and 8 assists and Sasha Vezenkov collected 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the victory. Giannoulis Larentzakis played a key role scoring all of his 14 points in the second half, while Isaiah Canaan, Kostas Papanikolaou and Alec Peters scored 10 apiece. James Nunnally and Kevin Punter each scored 14 for Partizan, which arrived with just nine players and used a seven-men rotation for a large part of the game.

Olympiacos opened the game with an 11-2 run, with Canaan scoring 5 points, and a triple from Papanikolaou opened a 14-4 lead. Punter and Nunnally hit from downtown for the visitors, but threes from Canaan and Sloukas late in the first, and one from Alec Peters at the start of the second helped made it 30-18. But Nunnally scored 5 points to spark Partizan, before baskets from Mathias Lessort, Zach LeDay and Kostas Papapetrou kept the visitors in range as they closed within 45-38 at the break.
Nunnally and Lessort were in the main roles in a 0-7 run as Partizan cut it to 48-43 midway through the third quarter, but Larentzakis gave the hosts much-needed energy. He scored the hosts' final 11 points of the third quarter, including all the points in an 8-0 run that made it 68-54 after 30 minutes. His third and final three-pointer started a 16-0 run early in the fourth. Olympiacos did not allow a single basket for 7 minutes in the fourth quarter, running away with a huge victory.
