After powering the Italian team's Round 9 victory over Zvezda with a career night of 32 points on 6-of-7 three-point shooting, Maodo Lo will look to continue to provide leadership to a Milan backcourt that has underdelivered at times this season. He will be countered by Keenan Evans, who has remained consistent during an up-and-down season for Zalgiris by averaging 15.0 points on 45.5% three-point shooting, including multiple triples in four of the last five games.

- Last season in Kaunas, Zalgiris beat Milan 71-62 behind 23 points from Keenan Evans and a career-high 10 rebounds from Rolands Smits.
- Milan forward Nikola Mirotic set the EuroLeague single-game record for free throws made with 18 without a miss in a 104-105 overtime win in Kaunas while playing for Real Madrid in March of 2013. That night, he also established his EuroLeague career-high with 31 points, he also collected 11 rebounds and finished with a PIR of 37 to earn the MVP of the Round award.
- Zalgiris's 62-94 victory in Milan in November 2017 remains the club record for winning margin on the road in the EuroLeague this century, 32 points.
- Zalgiris tied its EuroLeague club record with 49 rebounds in a 77-65 home win over Milan in March of 2018.
- Zalgiris and Milan played one another in the 1998 Cup Winners' Cup final. Zalgiris topped Milan 82-67 to lift its first European trophy. Saulius Stombergas led the winners with 35 points in just 29 minutes.
- Milan guard Kevin Pangos spent two seasons with Zalgiris, making his EuroLeague debut and helping the team reach the 2018 Final Four. Pangos played there from 2016 to 2018 and earned an All-EuroLeague Second Team selection. He was a teammate of current Zalgiris players Edgaras Ulanovas and Laurynas Birutis.
- Zalgiris big man Rolands Smits was a teammate of Kevin Pangos at FC Barcelona from 2018 to 2020.
