A meeting of coaching legends will see Ettore Messina's Milan (11-16) attempt to overcome Zeljko Obradovic's Partizan (13-14) in a big battle just outside the postseason places.

The Serbian team ended a three-game losing streak by downing Efes last week thanks to a career night from Aleksa Avramovic, with 30 points, and a big game from the athletic Zach LeDay, while Milan's inconsistent season took another blow with a loss at Bayern. LeDay also shined with 15 points as Partizan comfortably beat Milan, 83-69, in December, and the visitors will now look to control the threat of Milan leader Shavon Shields to potentially push into the all-important top ten.
- Ettore Messina and Zeljko Obradovic, these teams’ head coaches, have combined to win 13 EuroLeague titles in the past 31 years.
- Last season in Belgrade was the first meeting between these two teams in more than a decade. Milan beat Partizan 75-80 behind 25 points from Shavon Shields.
- Partizan forward Zach LeDay made a career-high 5 three-pointers in a home loss against Milan in October of last season.
- The two clubs played in the 1992 Final Four semifinal. Partizan won 82-75 with Zeljko Obradovic on the bench. The team went on to win its lone EuroLeague crown, which was the first of Obradovic's nine.
- Milan's forward Nicolo Melli played under Partizan head coach Zeljko Obradovic at Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul for two seasons, from 2017 to 2019. They reached the 2018 championship game together, which was played at Stark Arena.
- Melli was also a teammate at Fenerbahce of Partizan swingman James Nunnally in the 2017-18 season.
- Nunnally spent the second part of the 2018-19 season with Milan.
- Partizan guard Kevin Punter and forward Zach LeDay played the 2020-21 season with Milan. They helped the team reach the 2021 Final Four. They played under head coach Ettore Messina and were teammates with Shavon Shields and Kyle Hines.
- Milan's Maodo Lo and Partizan guard Jaleen Smith were teammates at ALBA Berlin the last two seasons, from 2021 to 2023.
- Milan's Billy Baron and Alex Poythress were teammates of Partizan's Mateusz Ponitka at Zenit St Petersburg.
