Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot sidelined with calf injury
Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz has announced that forward Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot is currently dealing with a calf injury, although no timetable has been set for his return.
As the club states, the injury occurred during Baskonia's Round 11 defeat at Olympiacos Piraeus last Thursday night.
"During the game against Olympiacos, corresponding to the 11th round of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Timothe Luwawu Cabarrot suffered a calf injury," Baskonia said. "Tests carried out by the club's medical services after his return to Vitoria-Gasteiz confirmed an injury to the inner calf of his left leg. The French player is already working on his recovery and his evolution will mark his return to the dynamic with his teammates."
So far this season, Luwawu-Cabarrot has played in all 11 rounds for Baskonia, averaging 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steal.
This is the 29-year-old's first year with Baskonia after joining from LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and his third EuroLeague campaign to date, having made his competition debut with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in 2022-23.
