Watch the journey of Paris Basketball in ‘The Making of a EuroLeague Team’
Paris Basketball was founded just six years ago and has only spent three seasons in the French top flight, yet it now finds itself preparing for its first campaign among Europe’s elite – in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. The journey has been stratospheric, and ‘The Making of a EuroLeague Team’, a documentary series by Euroleague Basketball Originals, takes viewers behind the curtain as Paris prepares for its debut EuroLeague season.
EuroLeague fans have already been able to watch episode one and episode two on YouTube, with the remaining three episodes set to be released on September 27 (21:00 CEST), October 6 (21:00 CEST), and October 13 (21:00 CEST). The entire series, which provides unprecedented access to all areas of Paris Basketball, will be available to stream via the EuroLeague’s official YouTube channel.
The first episode features some of last season’s protagonists, namely TJ Shorts, Nadir Hifi and Tyson Ward, explaining what it meant to be crowned the 2023-24 EuroCup champion, as well as footage from some of the key moments during their run to the title.
David Kahn and Eric Schwartz, Paris’s owners, are the stars of the second episode, before the club’s history and the current landscape of French basketball takes center stage in the third episode.
As the EuroLeague season nears ever closer, the preparations Paris is undertaking is focused on in the fourth episode, then the fifth and final episode closely looks at how new head coach Tiago Splitter is getting his troops ready for what awaits in the EuroLeague.
