Paris Basketball

It's been a fast rise to the top for Paris Basketball. Founded in 2018 by David Kahn, the club started with a single goal: bringing elite basketball to the City of Light. It started in the French second division when Paris bought the license of HTV Basket. The club was promoted to the French top flight at the end of the 2020-21 season. After avoiding relegation, Paris reached the 2022 Eurocup Quarterfinals in its debut season in the competition. Paris put together a record-breaking 2023-24 EuroCup campaign. Led by T.J. Shorts and Nadir Hifi, Paris won the EuroCup with a 22-1 record, winning its last 15 games to lift the trophy after a sweep of JL Bourg-en-Bresse, with Shorts chosen as the EuroCup season MVP and EuroCup Finals MVP. Paris also lifted the French Cup that season. Last season, Paris made its EuroLeague debut with a bang. The team won 10 straight games to jump atop the standings in Round 12. Paris eventually reached the EuroLeague Playoffs by shocking Real Madrid on the road in the Play-In Showdown, only to get swept in the playoffs by the eventual champion Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul. But the club also made history domestically, winning its premier French League championship. After putting Paris back on the European basketball map, the club intends to continue its upward path.
