About the Program:
By maintaining a long-standing collaboration with Special Olympics Monaco (SOM), AS Monaco Basket is helping to lay the foundation for a sustainable social program that will endure for many years to come. The expertise of SOM offers valuable guidance for the club in addressing social issues within the community, while also ensuring that basketball remains a tool for inclusion and positive change. It is a clear demonstration of how basketball can create impact well beyond the court.
This season’s program objectives include developing social and interpersonal skills to foster mutual respect and acceptance of diversity, promoting active listening and clear communication to enhance teamwork, building self-confidence and trust in oneself and in teammates, encouraging positive leadership based on guidance through encouragement, and, of course, using basketball as a fun and safe platform to practice cooperation, creativity, and social values.
Throughout the season, several AS Monaco players will join sessions to further strengthen the bond with participants.
For AS Monaco Basket, One Team is not only about the sessions themselves, but about creating lasting relationships, celebrating diversity, and showing the true power of basketball to unite people and drive social change.
